I've tried... the game is just too slow for me...

I DID enjoy going to the occasional Sidekick game back in the day, but I just can't get into the normal game...

ABSOLUTELY i'll be watching!

USA USA USA!

it still amazes me how underappreciated the sport is here. we're literally the only country in the world not fascinated with it.

it's too bad...soccer is awesome...especially during the world cup.

+1

I can not even watch Hockey or Baseball.

The only other "Big" sport besides football I have even the slightest interest in, on rare occasions, is basketball.

I live in Europe there is no way around watching this for me as people will be setting up TVs in offices, stores, gas stations, just about any where you can think of there will be a TV showing the games

i think part of the problem is that most americans have not seen HIGH QUALITY soccer in person. (and no, MLS doesn't exactly count).

when you see the top players in the world, in person, with all the rowdiness and atmosphere that comes with it...it makes all the difference.

it is quite exciting.

Maybe but there just isn't enough action to the game too hold my attention. It's just not my type of game.

I never understood the whole soccer crowd. Soccer in europe is mainly the people in padded jackets kicking a ball around. Those people are nuts, and the fans holy cow. Oh the goalie missed a block lets stone him to death lol.

Not my cup of tea, but hey if you like it more power to ya.

Golf is a slow and boring sport but you can relax and watch it. If you play golf you can admire some of those guys who play that many holes in a short period of time.

Plus if you see some of those shots.

I know most of us golfers would loooove to pull one of those perfect shots off. I myself made a great one about 2 weeks ago.

Par 4, shot a beautiful low drive about 250+ yards with a hint of slice the followed the dog leg. That sucker landed about 10-15 yards from the green.

But for every great shot, there are 200 horrible shots to go with it :laugh2:

see, this is, in part, what i'm referring to. there is a total lack of appreciation for how skilled world cup caliber soccer players are at their craft. how you feel about golf and making those shots...that is exactly how joe-soccer fan feels about their play. something that looks really simple on tv....like say, taking a cross-field pass and being able to knock it down and control it...i assure you, not as easy as it looks.

and then, of course factor in the speed of the players, and the velocity and accuracy that they can strike a ball with....it's really quite amazing.

watching a great dribbler take defenders one-on-one is also pretty awesome. the footwork/headwork is just mind boggling at times.

I'm amazed also, how people in the U.S dont really play soccer as much as other sports. Personally I've never seen many people play soccer on their own outside the house, @ the park. Its mostly other sports.

Me beein a Fanatic of both soccer and football, I have to say soccer gets more outta me as a fan. So many stars, Ronaldinho, Ronaldo, Totti, i mean these guys are just incredible with the ball.

I just think the U.S needs a better league, MLS is boring I think. quality isnt very good. The Difference for instance in the Mexican League and MLS is pretty big. Very Good Quality League en Mexico. U.S needs to work on its league. Cuz National Team Wise, USA with no doubt has progressed.

Pesonally I have nothing against the sport, it's just not my cup of tea...

I lived in Dallas when the World Cup came there... and it was exciting to an extent as far as electricity... and I paid attention to what went on results-wise, but i just couldn't get into the games...

I know they are great athletes... no doubt...
