..are going to need to earn their keep this year.
If we aren't going after front-running FAs to fill our needs, then the 2nd tier is probably better in the longer run but the coaches will need to make these 2nd and 3rd tier FA fill the roles we need filled.
I also think what Dallas will do is wait and see about the next wave of cuts from teams. There will be several surprises coming as FA's get signed and guys get cut to fit them in.
Dallas is going to want to wait and see what value pops up then.

Also, there has been a lot of talk about trades this year, now and leading up to the Draft.
I'm wondering if Dallas hasn't got their eye on some players destined to be released or on the trading block shortly.
That also will take some cap to accomplish.
I'm not freaking over Columbo leaving.

If Dallas really thought he was indispensible, they would have gotten him done like they did Guerode.
The fact they didn't means they have a Plan B.
