Yep. Some folks who said he should be cut are changing their tunes. He played well last night. Looked quick and he has length. If the DT's can keep him clean he will have lots of tackles and play well.Hmmm... I thought LVE was trash based on this message board. Too slow, can't tackle, etc.
Its funny because in Dan Quinns press conference he specifically talks about LVE and the speed he brings to the defense as one of his biggest strengths. Shows that this forum has no jdea what they are seeing or talking about.Hmmm... I thought LVE was trash based on this message board. Too slow, can't tackle, etc.
Sign him to another 1 year contract. He has become Sean Lee in both the good and bad ways. He was excellent in coverage last night. If anything stood out to me last night, it was the impact that LVE has on this defense. When he went out to injury a few weeks ago, he was the team's leading tackler (I believe?). The unhappy result was a precipitous decline in what had been among the stoutest defenses in the League. First game back, he steps in to lead the team with 9 tackles, 5 solo tackles and 2 defended passes.
The sports shows are all raving about the Cowboys' offense this morning. But the defense was equally impressive, and I'd argue that a big reason for that was the re-insertion of one of its most important pieces.
He aligns the defensive front 7, it is almost like he knows where the plays are going more often than not, though sometimes the Dallas D can't stop it but the front 7 usually is aligned correctly.LVE has been great all year. This board hates him, but he just makes the right play more often than not. I think we all saw the difference in this team with him on the field versus him off of it. Kind of reminds me of how this defense would instantly take a huge step back whenever Sean Lee had to sit out.
He will need to play one of his best games next week for Dallas to have a chance. I believe he is up to the challenge. This team believes.
Me either but he's surprised me all season with solid play. Good for him as he's helped this team tremendously.Yep, and I want to apologize right here in front of y'all. I have not been LVE's biggest fan and he got criticism from me for being slow and afraid to pop when he tackles (just pull them down). But he makes this D much better and it shows when he's out. He was definitely seeing the field and knowing what TB wanted to do last night as was most of the D .
Cox does not seem to be a viable option as viewed by the coaching staff. That’s a bit of a disappointment in light of the fact that he was viewed as a bit of a steal when we drafted him.although he still is effective, I’d still draft or sign a HEALTHY aversion of LVE as his replacement because of his obvious health issues because Jabtil Cox can’t seem to get on the field
I was always an LVE fan, but in fairness, he didn’t play well for a period of time. “Why” that is the case is the subject of legitimate debate.Yep. Some folks who said he should be cut are changing their tunes. He played well last night. Looked quick and he has length. If the DT's can keep him clean he will have lots of tackles and play well.
Signing LVE needs to be a priority this off-season. The further he is removed from the injury, the better he is playing.
