Shultz is a huge part of our passing offense, really think the team may extent him.Schultz has never been in question , its not his play its his contract and we have guys waiting to take his place cheaper(much like Cooper)..hes gone.. its pollard or schultz not both and ill FT pollard and allow dalton to walk.. Furgeson looks ready.
well they could but odds are they wont.Shultz is a huge part of our passing offense, really think the team may extent him.
They liked him enough to franchise tag him.well they could but odds are they wont.
We missed him and Hankins....If anything stood out to me last night, it was the impact that LVE has on this defense. When he went out to injury a few weeks ago, he was the team's leading tackler (I believe?). The unhappy result was a precipitous decline in what had been among the stoutest defenses in the League. First game back, he steps in to lead the team with 9 tackles, 5 solo tackles and 2 defended passes.
The sports shows are all raving about the Cowboys' offense this morning. But the defense was equally impressive, and I'd argue that a big reason for that was the re-insertion of one of its most important pieces.
Well, you were right for quite a while. Whether it was injuries or whatever, he played way below his rookie year. But when he has played this year he is reading the plays quicker and is strong in run tackling. Not a great pass D yet.Yep, and I want to apologize right here in front of y'all. I have not been LVE's biggest fan and he got criticism from me for being slow and afraid to pop when he tackles (just pull them down). But he makes this D much better and it shows when he's out. He was definitely seeing the field and knowing what TB wanted to do last night as was most of the D .
Disrespect is meaningful if more respect is merited.Schulz's production wasn't the focal point in my comment.
It was about how many CZers had contempt for him ---in the previous offseason ---- and the disdain for him when nuclear when the Cowboys franchised -tagged him for 2022.
My amended list of "most disrepected Cowboys players in 2022"
1) Elliott
2a) Schultz
2b) Vander Esch
right, ONCE. Its called a bridge. they drafted 2 TEs and without knowing howd they turn out, Im sure they might have thought about keeping Dalton but now id say Furgy is as good as Shultz now with more upside. Daltons took a few seasons to even get where Furguson is now..They liked him enough to franchise tag him.
LVE did not outplay Schultz but i get the point and agree they most likely will part ways with Dalton, its about money and having options already here to replace him.Disrespect is meaningful if more respect is merited.
I don't see people hating Schulz. Just not thinking that he is worth franchise money. And the same for Zeke. Just not worth the money he's getting.
Meanwhile, Vander Esch has outplayed both those guys for less than a fifth of the money. That's the guy who is disrespected.
Im here vandertrash sucks in the run game. He's good if he's in coverage 66 times a game. Was he the same one that kept calling him Vandertrash and a storm
Was coming?
Im here!!! Idk wth is going on wth cox. Vandertrash plays well if a team throws 66 times a game and he doesnt have to play coming forwardWho was that guy that kept saying to replace LVE with Jabril Cox? Haven't seen him around.
He sucks less than the rest of the LBs honestly. Barr is slow and takesbad angles, Clark is young so I give him a pass for now. and the other LB can't get ont he field unless there is an injury and not enough safeties to fill their role. But LVE is not as bad as he is made out to be and definitely holds the Defense together, but he still has faults, his play against the run has improved over what he was tasked to early this year which was occupy blockers more, now it seems he is asked to roam.Im here vandertrash sucks in the run game. Just because we dont have a better replacement for a player doesnt make them good players. I.E. jeff heath, scandrick, ty craw, barry church, brandon carr the list can go on and on. This defense's biggest weakness in the run defense and lve is awful against the run.He sucks less than the rest of the LBs honestly. Right now I will give clark a pass because I do not think they thought they would have him at all this year. LVE looks to have had different responsibilities now as opposed to earlier in the year. It seems they used him to keep the safeties clean early on mainly he was supposed to eat up blockers so they could not get to the safeties used in most packages. but he was there this past game for the 6-7 run plays. We will see more this week.Just because we dont have a better replacement for a player doesnt make them good players. Clark will be a beast next year. We will need to find a second guy at lber.
It's going to be a very interesting offseason and several players are up for new contracts and a few veterans could be released.right, ONCE. im betting they see a way to use that money much like Copper being traded factored in... you know Stephen will see this and il have to agree, more money to use on other players about to be calling like Pollard, diggs and lamb..
so Dalton's money plus cutting zeke or getting Zeke to take 50% pay cut will go a long way to 2023s roster building.
every offseason is this way, all in flux..thats the business part, has to be done and sometimes we lose fan favorites. It's going to be a very interesting offseason and several players are up for new contracts and a few veterans could be released.
I wonder if our assistants land jobs, do they raid our roster.every offseason is this way, all in flux..thats the business part, has to be done and sometimes we lose fan favorites.
It wasn't you....but, now that you mention it! LolIm here!!! Idk wth is going on wth cox. Vandertrash plays well if a team throws 66 times a game and he doesnt have to play coming forward
Not you who I’m referring to.Im here vandertrash sucks in the run game. He's good if he's in coverage 66 times a game.
- The Bucs will not challenge you when it comes to running the ball ... among dead last in NFL rushing yardage. If anything stood out to me last night, it was the impact that LVE has on this defense.
