From a FedEx field perspective nice stadium. Big, Real Big. Concessions were I thought very overpriced, but I imagine an $8 beer and $10 Hamburgers ($5 french fries) are the norm these days. Snyder knows how to bleed a penny out of everyone. I asked one of the concession attendee's if there was a waterfountain around and got laughed at.

On the field itself, they have the most god awful replay's I've ever seen. They never showed a single replay of any of the challenges, not one. They took those times to show another commercial on something leaving me (and about 90,000 Commanders fans wondering what the heck was going on. Can't tell you how disappointing that was. Also, they wouldn't show any of the scores of the teams who were playing which might affect the Commanders. No Minnesota Score, no New Orleans scores.

Back to the game itself. The Commanders have something in Collins. He makes quick reads and accurate throws. That said, his receivers were mostly wide open on anything in the middle of the field. We continually gave them that area of the field. If we don't get pressure on a quarterback who can actually throw accurately, we are in a world of hurt.

Portis has a real good game as did Santana. Both looked like men playing against boys during the game. Our overall defense was just bad today. Don't know if it was the elements or what. Who knows.

Lastly (cause its off to work I go) Romo wasn't sharp and even though our receivers (Miles Austin Yikes) didn't help him any he still missed quite a few things. He seemed to always be throwing behind receivers today.

Guess thats it. Except I heard more cursing from fans todays then I've every heard in my life and I'm no youngster. I had my 24 year old son with me and he said if he had a young child there is no way he would take them to a Commanders game. People cursed the refs, the cowboys, Jessica Simpson, Al Saunders, Clinton Portis, just about anything that moved and I mean laced with words a sailor wouldn't probably use. I fully support the fact that folks pay there money to cheer, but I would say every third word I heard was a F that or F them or Suck this or Suck that. Absolutely unbelieveable.

Off to work I go. Watch out Seattle, these Commanders could be for real.

Unfortunatley, that cursing occurs just about everywhere you go, in the NFL. I've been to Texas Stadium, where the crowd is said to be 'too reserve', and heard the same type of language, if not worse. This year's, Patriots game rings a bell!

Too bad you had to go to that bowl of weirdos, I feel for you. But glad you got to see the Boys in person..

I think we are going to allow the inside stuff especially when Newman's not there, but with Newman on the field, we'll be okay.

And don't forget that Ratliff is one of the true enforcers on our line. Saying all of that, I have faith we'll be back to playing inspired and smart football in a couple of weeks.

I've noticed that too, even before the thumb injury. Hopefully it's not due to the big contract.

I dont curse at games, however you should not go if you are offended.

Someone's speech should not be regulated in a public event.

Go to your nearest playground and you will hear every curse word in the book.

All things considered I thought the defense played pretty well in the first half, if they had gotten any support from the offense it would of helped.

I agree, we was 0-11 on 3rd down. I dont care what kind of defense you have. You can't keep putting them on the field like that, they will get worn down overtime. But I think Dallas kept the coverages basic sine alot of youngins was playin.

Uh, hasn't he won a couple of big games (Green Bay comes to mind) after getting his "big" contract?

You musn't understand the personality of Romo if you can make this comment.

It shouldn't be regulated but people could show respect for their fellow man!

Suppose I ate a big bowl of chili with lots of onions the night before and farted continiously throughout the game! That's about equal to a foul mouth!

:laugh2:

You guys that find yourself offended by cursing had best stay in the house for now on.......because that's the way people talk EVERYWHERE.....except maybe in church. Although I'm sure it's like that in church but not so loud.

I remember being a kid and nobody in the family ever spoke the F-word......but they would use every othe word in the book. Then when we got out in public I would be around people saying the F-bomb and it would just about make me physically ill when I was a child.

Nowadays I use it quite a bit. I even use it around the kids because I don't want them to grow up disadvantaged by being intimidated by that language, because everybody uses it. I don't use it in what I consider to be a family friendly setting like a restaurant or other public place with families........but I use it everywhere else. I'll leave it up to my children whether or not they choose to use it when they grow up. My stepson is 19 years old now and has been around me since he was 5 and he's basically an angel and doesn't curse at all.

When you think about it, it's just a word. It's not a racial slur or a bad name......it's just a word.

This is a public event and children are encouraged to go. That said, it is illegal to use profanity in public and you can be ticketed for it. That actual law that is attached to it, differs based on state, city, and county, but no matter were you are, you can be ticketed for it's use.

I've been to this game pretty much every year for the past 10 years and it was the fewest percentage of Cowboys fans I've ever seen at this game. We usually have about 20% or more fans there, and this game, it was less than 10%. I don't think that had anything to do with the outcome :p: but it was interesting nonetheless.

That makes a lot of sense:rolleyes:

I don't know Toni and I definitely don't know what it's like to be a multimillionaire but I would say that he has been less spectacular since the contract then before.

No one's really happy with the stadium. It's too big and impersonal. I have a feeling lots of you will be disappointed with your new stadium for the same reasons. I have read that they have trouble putting replays on because it is on an analog system rather than digital, but I'm not tech savvy enough to know if that is BS. And really, the screens are so small that replays wouldn't help you see anything. I believe that Snyder has said that they will be upgraded for next season however.

I'd say there was a good number of Cowboys fans and as a whole I didn't see anyone being abused by the Commanders fans. Regarding language, I work with truck drivers and warehousemen every day and curse words don't as a rule bother me. However my son (who is 24) hangs around with his crowd and they all cuss a blue streak. However this was beyond that in every way imaginable. Women around me were appalled that anyone would use that language in a public area when both women and (gasp) children were around. I just can't describe how ugly it was and it certainly took away some enjoyment from the game, not only for me, but for quite a few Commanders fans who were around me. Just one mans opinion.

PS. Snyder needs to spend some money and put some real flatscreen up in various places. Every TV in every bar in the stadium were the old tube type tvs with sucky pictures. The jumbo tron was pretty much useless because it was so small.

Something kinda sad about the way that things have come to be.
Desensitized to everything.
What became of subtlety?
