1) Frederick - beast! if they keep him at center he will be a top 5 center within 2-3 years.

2) Escobar - underwhelming but he hasn't gotten to play much with Romo which is who will make him look good. he's more of a red zone threat for right now anyway.

3) TWill - hurt so don't know til next week hopefully

4) Randle - beast +1

5) BW Webb - not good tonight but hopefully can be brought slowly as 5th CB

6) Holloman - developmental guy with good coverage skills.

7) Wilcox - good in run support. needs to learn angles on receivers in coverage for tackling. was too flat on crrossing route that went for big gain. also needs field awareness. pick almost turned into safety on return

Tfred is a really really good center

Escobar will only flash when the playbook opens up. For now he needs yo learn blocking

Wilcox made good strides today

Webb was horrendous. He is not showing a single NFL level skill

Randle looks like an NFL back. The goal line stretch was impressive

Holloman meh

If Escobar is a bust that will be horrible. They spent three 2nd-round picks on TEs over the past 5-6 years.

Frederick- Looks really good at Center, not as good at Guard. Clearly needs to be a Center for us. I've been pleased with him.
Escobar- Hasn't really done anything. Definitely not a good enough blocker at this point. Right now, I don't love his play, but its to early to really judge.
Williams-Hasn't played, so not sure.
Wilcox- Good effort, made a lot of tackles, and nice instincts on the INT(although that was a horrible pass. You dont throw across your body to the middle of the field.) but cost us big time on the crossing pattern. Took an awful angle on the play.
Randle- I'm pretty pleased with him. He makes really smooth cuts, and seems to have good vision. He and Frederick are the two best picks so far.
Webb- pretty bad so far. Havn't seen anything that makes me excited about him yet. It's only 2 games and Im not expecting much from him this year, I'll really start judging him next year and beyond.
Holloman- Made the nice play on the INT last game, although that was more being in the right place, but he did have a nice return. He made a few tackles tonight. Okay so far.

Fredrick has been good at center. He'll anchor the OL for years.
Escobar. Does he have one catch? Terrible blocker. Has a lonnnggg way to go.
Williams. Don't know.
Wilcox. Some good...some bad. I'm encouraged because he seems he has the ability to be a playmaker.
Randle. Been very good. But so have all of our RBs. Nice problem to have.
Holloman. See Wilcox.

I have high hopes for Wilcox this season. He's been playing against 1st teamers and holding his own. He's a playmaker when he's roaming around making tackles. He is a little suspect in coverage but when all the 1st teamers are playing he'll have less pressure on him. Call me crazy but I think Wilcox could be a Day 1 starter.

Escobar blocking at the goal line on the final TD was atrocious. Webb had maybe the worst game I ever saw on ST.

So far, looks like Fred, Randle, Holloman, and Wilcox are showing up well. Escobar hasn't shown much yet. Webb looks bad.

FYI, on the pick, they've changed that rule. If you get tackled in the end zone, it's a touchback, whether you try to bring it out or not.

Frederick is great... Well worth the 1st. Escobar may be another bennett... not attitude-wise, but more along another TE that we drafted in the second round that fails to live up to expectations. Need to see Williams on the field. Wilcox looks like he'll be solid back there. He's missed a few plays, but the interception shows his potential. Raw, but he's shown he has it in him to make plays. Webb, I don't know what's going on with the kid. Maybe he is so nervous he can't focus, but he didn't show up in any aspect of the game that he needed to. No tackling, gave up huge places on coverage, and the special team error. Hopefully that was just a bad game for him and he shows something more next game, but he really getter get in gear.

Everyone has very rosy impressions of rookies during training camp. Frederick has certainly not done anything to indicate he's a future pro bowler.

Frederick: will probably be an average starting center this year, which is a big upgrade for us. We'll see how he develops from there.

Escobar: will likely play only a third or so of snaps this year, so far as advertised from draft reports, long way to go still. Poor strength/technique run blocking (though is active and engages), slow route runner but big body with great hands, needs to work on getting in and out of his breaks faster.

Williams: about what was advertised, trouble getting off press coverage, limited route tree. He'll probably be a middling #3 this year.

Wilcox: i think he has been better than expected, he was always a project but probably developed faster than coaches initially thought. Clearly still learning coverages with limited prior experience. Special teams this year.

Webb: huge ups and downs, but clearly roster worthy with upside which is not guaranteed witha 4th round pick

Randle: too early to tell.

Overall I'm happy with the class. No player has looked like a bust, all their weaknesses are the same as expected, and they have been improving. That means that their upside is still the same. But rookies not drafted in the top of the first hardly ever do much their first year, especially not at te or receiver, and wilcox was always a project. Temper expectations year 1. Im just happy frederick hasnt struggled and been penciled in as the obvious starter day 1. Thats better than most first round lineman this time of year. But not at all an indication of future pro bowls.

On the blocked FG, that was Rosario who completely missed his block right? Wife was yapping in my ear at the time.

The only one who has proven himself at this point in time is Frederick. Randle is getting closer but he's not quite there yet. All the others are somewhat too inconsistent right now, just as you'd expect from rookies.
