You don't sweat down here, your body weeps.
Great line...so true!
You don't sweat down here, your body weeps.
They did build that one loop and talk about the definitive "middle of nowhere", first time we took that coming in form Dallas, I wondered if we were going to Florida. It finally began to curve and come back in. Denton did the same thing and the locals refuse to use it because there's nothing on the loop. They could have made an attempt
In the Eighties we were the only major city in Texas to turn down Federal Hwy money.
The actual repeated comment from the city council was "If we don't build roads, no one will move here"
Now we're the 11th largest city in the US; we don't even have a loop but we do have perpetual gridlock
Austin always stays true to it's motto: "keeping it weird"
Here is my advice to you and I hope you consider it closely. This is the wrong time in live to make any major changes. If in a years time, once all of the Covid stuff has settled down and the economy is on a clear path (good or bad), then make analysis of where you are at in life, what you want to do to change it and go forward. But today, right now, it's a bad choice IMO.
Take a little time
I had to go to OK to get a tornado, wasn't worth then trip.I lived in Arlington for about five years during junior high and most of my high school years (1989-1994).
I always tell people Arlington is a great place to raise a family (at least it was 25-30 years ago). Home prices are still ridiculously cheap. The house I lived in down there will likely be the nicest/largest home I’ll ever live in. I live in Palo Alto (Calif.) now and our home and lot is 1/3 of the size.
The heat does suck. No way to get around it. I never witnessed a tornado but plenty of flooding, hail, black ice, et cetera.
