What? What makes you so sure that he won't win? Seems people here are cheering for his demise rather than cheering for him to make it thru this.
Oh I want him to make it through. On many levels. His story is way too close to me.

I was reacting based on thinking that the NFL and Goodell have the appeal decision, but I've heard they don't. Hopefully the decision is based on wendy will give him the best chance to make himself whole, and not to simply punish him

I would still go to Federal Court to stop the appeal this year.......delay delay delay
yup, one would think Gregorys attorney (if he even has one), would be trying anything possible to finish out this year on the feild.........

Goodell is where appeals go to. You can't go to the real court system.

ok. I suppose that is the only course it can go.....I'd say that is something the NFLPA could "negotiate" on a little next go around.

didnt see the game but was watching the stats. Saw he had a fair amount of tackles and a SACK!
Was wondering everyone's impressions of how he looked overall and esp on his sack?
Yeah- and his acceleration to the QB is amazing.

Not possible.

This isn't a player fighting a suspension handed down by Roger Goodell under the NFL's personal conduct policy.

This is an appeal within the NFL Substances of Abuse program.

Goodell is where appeals go to.

Not all of them.

Alcohol related and Personal Conduct policy appeals go to Roger Goodell.

In the Substances of Abuse program they are heard by an independent panel consisting of 3-5 members who have no connection to the NFL, its clubs, the NFLPA or any players.

And whatever decision the appeal panel makes is final.

Yes it is. Use your head though. If a guy has a problem and enters into a treatment facility to get right and while in there a "random" test was issued and was missed is the same as being at your house and not going to the test because you don't want to?

To punish a guy for trying to get himself corrected from a drug problem is insane

My problem with this is, I don't think this has been reported and it's more or less the life line that we have created to hold onto. If it's true, that's great, but has this actually been reported

Yes it has been that's the entire basis of being able to appeal. If he just missed it because he didn't want to go then he has no footing on an appeal

I don't think that's necessarily true. I'd imagine that you can appeal and come up with any reason as to why you missed. My only question is has anyone actually reported that he was in rehab during this missed test

I don't have a link but yes it has been reported......but media reports anything they want too. Until proven wrong though this is what I'm going by. We should know by the end of the week

I agree but the NFL has screwed Jerry and his boys over before in an issue we thought was cut and dry in Dallas favor. Never under estimate the power of total power.

Gregory looked like the most athletic defensive lineman on the field. However he looks like he is using only athleticism. I saw very little technique. I saw him chasing in the run game. Irving, because he's been working on it all season shows much better technique and stamina. Gregory really needs a full year of fundamentals imo.

I'm curious how he is grading out. Probably an above average splash plays and above average negative plays.

Oh I totally agree with your statement. I think Gregory gets it, I think he still turn things around but I think like you said the league will suspend him either way.
It's sad really cause I feel being with his team mates and the way they are winning could be good for him. Not sure if it's depression or what that leads him to smoke but winning and being happy with your team goes a long way
