I haven't seen where he has been disrespectful in Dallas yet, to anyone.

He hasn't had much time, lol. We've got to give it time before we can declare it either way.

With the media's constant and incessant badgering it could!

Susan Lucci gets more respect :banghead:

Again with the media? The Media is not dressing up like it is the tour de france, TO brings this on himself they are not creating this. Yes they ask about him all the time no doubt and yes they are waiting for this to fall apart but why? why TO? you think it may be because of the stuff he has pulled over the year and his actions and things he says? TO can change all of this by his actions and by how he conducts himself.

EVERYONE knows that we are taking a chance with TO. Where have you been hiding?

It's risk/reward.

And another thing before we keep on touting Saint Keyshawn.

Mosley or someone did bring up the fact that he legitimately did not care for Bledsoe. That is far more factual than the concocted issues Owens "might" have with Drew. Something to consider as you admire Johnson on his pedestal.

How is that factual? Seemed to me like Mosley pulled that out of his ***.

I said it was more factual because he actually talks to the man. More factual than people making up things that Owens doesn't care for Bledsoe, which I have seen.

OK. I wouldn't put it past Mosley to make that up, though. And, if Key legitimately didn't care for Bledsoe all last year - I'm even more impressed with Parcells keeping him in check.

Your right only issue I have with him right now is not being out on the field working and learning this offense. But that was talked about at lenght yesterday and not going there today. Let me say I do want things to work out because I do understand his talent but I also understand that a lot of the bad that has taken place has been by TO own dumb ars mouth and his attacks on teammates and coaches.

I am sure Mosley makes up things on occasion like most of them. But to go out of your way to stir it like he did tends to make me think he didn't in this case. It wasn't a one liner implying your a trade for your favorite backup QB for a third round choice was flatly refused or anything self-serving like that.

I am not putting Keyshawn on a pedastal regarding behavior, although since he had no problems in Dallas it was either because he and BP can get along or maybe he just finally grew up a bit.

I just really thinks he makes that team much better.

Coach Parcells basically pulled rank with Johnson. He mentally broke him down, asserted the alpha male role and became a father-figure to a petulant child. It also helps that Coach Parcells was a vast improvement for the overwhelmed Kotite in Johnson's formative years. Part of Owens' problem is that he has never had a head coach who wasn't buttery soft and hands off as a professional and has never dealt with expectations. I think both of them are still getting to know each other and once they do, you will see a mutual respect.

I might want to do something really odd and actually wait until maybe the season starts or perhaps even wait and see how the season turns out before I give it my final grade.:D

Everyone is just acting like Keyshawn and the Panthers are a match made in heaven, but we'll see how John Fox reacts when Keyshawn comes over to the sidelines screaming in his face about how he wants the ball. And it will happen.
What really strikes me as funny is how Keyshawn was clearly an "over-the hile primma donna who can't move" when he came to Dallas, and now that he's going Carolina, he's one of the off-season best pickups.

Hey he's two years older, but now he's the missing piece?

Personally, I think Key IS a great pickup for Carolina and I'm pretty much in agreement with the consensus storyline currently being put out there.

Just strikes me as as stupid how down everyone (media) was on Key when he was Cowboy and now he's suddenly great again.

He's the same player the media jackasses we're railing on last year.

Tell me there's no anti-Cowboy bias again eh?

Big differnece between Bp in Keyshawn and BP and TO.

Bp and Keyshawn built their relationship when Keyshawn was a kid basically.

TO is way past that point and not nearly in the same place as a 21 year old kid out of college. TO is very stubborn and this will not be easy esp. with things like missing practice time getting in the way.

It is amazing what two years of good production and causing no problems will do for your rep.

Hopefully that will be what happens to T.O.

We could do that with almost everything on this board, but then there sure would not be much to talk about would there?

There's plenty to talk about, just throw out Romo or Henson's name and step back and watch what happens.

But a question of "who got the better deal", before they've even played a down of football yet, seems a little premature to me. But that's ok, no offense intended.

Good Question.

I really liked what Key did here. Made some big catches and has some valuable qualities as a reciever. Size, hands, body control at the sidelines, toughness over the middle.
Problem was his speed. He might just be the slowest starting receiver in the league. On more than one occasion he was easily caught from behind and stripped of the ball. At this point I actually view him as a liability and was happy to see Carolina pick him up.
I see Carolina as our primary competition outside of the division. Now he will get his catches and make some plays. But I see his inability to create seperation or pose a ligitimate deep threat outweighing his positives. I also think we may have as good a read and how to defend him as anyone.
I'm interested to see how Parcels has the one defender assigned to Key actually play him. Our ability to take him out with one man to free up extra attention for Smith will be critical in that game.

I understand that, I just saw a bit of the first Carolina preseason game and saw Delhomme hit Keyshawn for a couple of first down passes and it got me to thinking about how I thought Keyshawn was going to be a nice addition for them and a bit of a security blanket for Delhomme. Steve Smith gets constantly doubled and taken out forcing Delhomme into bad decisions, which I think will be lessoned to a great deal by Keyshawn.

You can cover Keyshawn man to man, or you could double him, but with his size and his hands he is going to catch his fair share of accurately thrown balls, extending drives and making them a more consistent team through blocking and his hardworking attitude.

I agree and think he fits in well with what Carolina is trying to do. They are a team who relys a lot on the running game and Key is a good down field blocker, they have the outside speed in Smith and Key gives them the sure hands and toughness to work the middle of the field. I don't think it is so much about who is better TO or Key, no doubt TO brings more to the table than Key but Key fills an important role for Carolina

If TO sneezes it will be on ESPN and they will analyze the boogers one by one... Plus, each booger get's it's own air time. I agree TO's actions are all on him, but to insist that there isn't an electron microscope on this season put on by the MEDIA, yes I said it again, you're naive. It just seems to me like you're giving the MEDIA, dang, said it agian... a free pass...
