OMG wow!

Proctor better step it up a notch. He didn't look real bad out there today tho.

What horrible news.

Can anyone else confirm about Gurode. Thsi guy has 1 post and I haven't seen that news anywhere else. If it was on NFL Network it'd be all over the place.

No offense to the original poster regarding Gurode, but can anyone w/ more than one post confirm Gurode is done for the year?

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones emphasized outside the stadium tonight that the injury to Tono Romo's right thumb is a bruise and not a sprain. And the franchise's leader said he's pretty ecstatic that it's not more serious than that.

"We’re counting our blessings, one of them is that Romo won’t be having future health problems," Jones said. "That would be a bad day."

Jones added that he doesn't think injuries to C Andre Gurode (left knee sprain), DE Chris Canty (left knee sprain), S Patrick Watkins (left ankle sprain), or TE Anthony Fasano (mild concussion) will force any missed time. He did say that Gurode will have an MRI in the morning, but the feeling is he -- like his four hobbled teammates -- will be good to go on Saturday in Charlotte.

"These guys (the doctors) have a track record of being able to tell you pretty good about what you’re going to get on an MRI," Jones said.

Meanwhile, Romo didn't feel much like going into his injury, simply saying "It's fine."

As I said in a previous post, Proctor didn't look bad because we were sliding help over to him. There's no way you replace a probowl center in Gurode without it having an effect. Then again, if Romo has a healthy thumb, his mobility and accuracy can make up for deficiencies in the OL.

The Cowboys took some major hits in Sunday's loss to the Eagles. A run down:
Andre Gurode: Left knee sprain, will have an MRI on Monday.
Chris Canty: Left knee sprain, "should be OK" says the team.
Patrick Watkins: Left ankle injury, will have an MRI on Monday.
Tony Romo: Right thumb injury. X-rays were negative, but he was wearing a decent-sized bandage on the thumb after the game.
Anthony Fasano: Suffered a mild concussion.
