I don't think that either Weeden or Vaughn should keep the team from acquiring a QB they think has starting potential.

Ol Gil Brandt was seriously selling Petty to the Saints in the 2nd round. Thought that was awful high but the man thinks he is a good guy for Drew Brees to groom for a couple years.. Like Petty maybe in the 4th or 5th rnd

The Jets have also worked out Petty

I think he is the best QB outside the first round. He will be unreachable for us. I think his stock will go up as the draft nears - 2nd round sounds right.
