He said he doesn't think Callahan or Marinelli are back next year. That Callahan will look to get an OC position and Marinelli will go help Lovie in Tampa where his true loyalty lies. I thought it was kind of interesting he would believe that considering what's going on around here, more so about Marinelli.

After what happened to Callahan last year not a doubt he bolts. I hope his assistant..(can't remember his name) stays! Marinelli I believe would stay to see this through

I dont want Callahan as anything more than OL coach, that seems be his ceiling. If somebody wants him as OC or HC, they can have him. Also I think Pollack would be fine as OL coach if Callahan leaves. As far as Marinelli goes, I think it will depend on how the season plays out.

Unless they fire Frazier, Marinelli would have to take a demotion.

If they fire Frazier, I wouldnt think twice about bringing him in

It would suck to lose both of them - they are excellent coaches. I don't think for a minute that Callahan comes back. Marinelli, I think, would stay.

That being said, let's enjoy the ride, and worry about this stuff later. No need to fret over this, as we have no control over it.

What would be interesting if we could get through next week without talking about next year.

not sure why anyone legitimately thinks Marinelli would stay...he almost left this offseason...of course he is leaving...position title doesn't matter to him...

he wasn't even the DC here last year...he could have gotten a DC position elsewhere...title doesn't matter to the guy...i agree 100% w BB here

I think the checks that Jerry Jones writes to Jason Garrett and Marinelli at the end of the season are going to be OBSCENE. JMHO.

What a brilliant comment....I just never understood the draft threads in the midst of a season where we are 5-1 or the salary cap worry threads or the the free agent threads. We have tons of time for all that.....enjoy the damned ride people!

I am going to go out on the limb here and guess that pretty much any OL coach in the NFL would do pretty well with Fredbeard, Martin, Smith, Leary and Free. That is not saying anything against Callahan. I think he is a good OL coach and OC. Maybe he was also instrumental in identifying potential in Fredbeard and Martin before the draft.

Without talent, almost all coaches are going to fail.
