He's made it clear that he's moving on after he plays out his last season with SD.

I'm interested, but I'm sure some team will overpay. He'll be 32 by the end of next year so have to be careful if he's a target.

Got my hopes up for a second. This defense is a playmaking FS away from being really good(If the pass rush turns out like projected).

I could not agree more, if Wilcox is our guy he will show it this fall, Patmon will have a bullseye painted on his jersey if he is as bad as his critic profess. First four games Cruz, Beckham, Julio Jones, Roddy White, Agholor, Jordan Matthews, Brandon Cook, and Marcus Colston should give us an idea of his talent.

NFL Trade Machine: Dee Milliner To Dallas

Think about this for a second. The Dallas Cowboys knew their problem heading into 2015 was pass defense. So they invested heavily in both their pass rush (Greg Hardy and Randy Gregory) and at cornerback (1st round pick Byron Jones) in hopes they’ve done enough to fix the issue and move towards what many believe is a Super Bowl run. Now their plan has taken a grievous hit with the loss of top corner Orlando Scandrick to a torn ACL.
Now this has put the Cowboys in a bind. Free agency is all but depleted with any cornerbacks capable of starting and being effective, leaving them two choices. Either put the job back in the hands of Morris Claiborne or stay aggressive and perhaps seek an NFL trade to solve their problem.
Knowing Jerry Jones for who he is and also how the Cowboys have played this off-season, it’s clear a trade is not out of the question.
Enter Dee Milliner.
Remember him? Considered the heir apparent to Darrelle Revis when he was drafted in the 1st round in 2013, the young cornerback has endured a string of frustrating injuries that derailed a promising start to his career. Now Revis is back, along with Antonio Cromartie and Buster Skrine, leaving his roster spot in serious doubt with the New York Jets.
For the moment the team seems intent on keeping him around, but they’ve given no indication that won’t change. If Milliner is at least a question mark, that should make him a trade option. There is no mistaking his talent and he’s still only 23-years old.
How does he not represent the same kind of gambles the Cowboys have taken this year anyway?

injury prone. what makes him different than Clairborne? is somebody else's trash gold to us?

Which is dependent on the pass rush like I said.

And our DB's. And our LB's. The pass rush won't make this defense alone. All our talented linebackers need to contribute including Lee and McClain. Living up to their potential, means all units are playing cohesively and at a high level.

To this point, Claiborne's outplayed him.

So, nah.

He's not better than any of the CBs we currently have on the roster. No thanks.

Funny how you're always quick to go realist on everybody and everything, but in another thread say how Randy Gregory will be the best player on the team by next season without playing a down yet. Why is it so wrong for other people to project what they think will happen, but it's ok for you to project something like that? Yes they have to do it on the field and I think they can and will. If you don't, fine. If it makes you feel better to keep your hopes tempered, your choice. I think my own way and the team has a hole a FS that could bump them way up the defensive pecking order. It's no different than you being so hopeful for Gregory.

Who said anyone was wrong? I clarified my statement and responded to yours... That's how message boards work. If you're gonna go tits up every time someone disagrees with you (even though I didn't) you're gonna be pretty unhappy here.

Also, people went ape **** when I said that about Gregory. It's called having an opinion and voicing it. This is a message board. Every thread is a collection of opinions wildly varying. I didn't realize we were all pigeon holed into selective niches based on one or two threads.

For the record, I think they can and will do it on the field too. I think you ire is misplaced.

You've been a member here for a matter of months. I have been a member here for 8 years. Are you really so high on yourself that you're going to pretend to know anything about me, or make some gross exaggeration about my posting based on two threads? You're way off base and even further out of line.

Wait Patmon is bad? What I read that he was one of the big surprises in training camp. I wonder who these critics are.

Most of his press has been about the fight with Dez not his coverage acumen. No one had him penciled in as a starter in training camp unless I missed that media blurb. Lets see if the Vikes light him up or go for the one handed Carr or Rookie Byron Jones.
