Woo hoo another stats thread.
And if this team doesn't win this year, I think we need to get rid of Dez Bryant too. He's been in the league for how long? And the same old result every year -- just missing the playoffs. We can't accept that.Am I the only one in the universe who thinks he will vomit the next time someone number crunches on Tony Romo? The only number I'm concerned with is more wins than losses. Save me "its a team game..blah...blah...blah." He has had some bad teams to work with, he has also had some good teams to work with. In the words of the old Nike advertisements.... just do it.
And as far as I'm concerned, as happy as I am with what Jason Garrett represents in terms of his philosophy of building a team, discipline, character, etc.... I put him in the same boat. Its time to win fellas, plain and simple.
the pressure stat is huge. fix the o-line, you fix tony.
You can't fix a 34 year old QB. It's not happening. He is what he is at this point of his career.
I thought Tony's play dropped last year on the longer pass plays. Not that he's ever been a good long ball thrower, but last year seemed worse,,, maybe it was the back injury?
Pretty amazing given the Cowboys history at that position. You can cherry pick and analyze Romo until the cows come home, but it doesn't change the fact.......he's statistically the greatest QB this team has ever had

It's kind of humorous...
Romo supporters will go to the ends of the earth to find numbers to justify their claims.
Romo haters don't have too far to go to find numbers to back their argument.
Both sides have valid points and not so valid points...
You can cherry pick and analyze Romo until the cows come home, but it doesn't change the fact that while he's statistically the greatest QB this team has ever had, he hasn't been able to lead this team past the divisional round of the playoffs. Great stats, great guy, but hasn't made noise in the post-season and his window is just about shut.
Whoosh.Tony Romo - 34 years old - 12 years in the league - single most important position on a football team
Dez Bryant - 25 years old - 5 years in the league
Great comparision

Pretty amazing when you actually think about it, yes.
I was talking about the player, not the team.Yeah.. pretty amazing with that 1 playoff win.

Romo’s 55.2 percent completion percentage and 125.4 passer rating on throws of 20-plus yards were both second-best in the NFL.
