Ever year, its the same thing, This is just sickening, Come On Jerry get a guy in here thats going to lead this team, Not old fossils, This is just agony, worse then the bloody playoff game, because when it was over it was over this just goes on and on and on. I don't know about you guys but I really don't enjoy all this speculation, I always thought Jerry had some sort of back up plan, because you don't get to be in his position without thinking ahead, But I just don't know who is out there that could come in here with Bills guys and lead us to the promised land.

I think it's something Jerry and Bill have known for a while. I don't believe Parcells interest in the Giants GM position is something that surprises Jerry.

This rumor *actually* came out via ESPN. That is enough to question it's crediability. It doesn't mean it's not true, it just means it could be the BSPN machine running full bore.

Where did you get that? It came out via that New Jersey paper. The guy who wrote it was on Dallas radio an hour or so ago, and he didn't get it from the big ESPN; he got it from Giants people.

I was all set to do a recap of the Jerry Jones Show on The Ticket. It was postponed from 8:30 to 8:50, then he reportedly was on hold and hung up...

They just reported that Jerry has said he now can't do the show today...

Perhaps something is up?

There is no sense keeping him here if he doesn't have a firm commitment and desire to do so.

8AM this morning on Mike and Mike in the morning ESPN radio. I'm guessing you are talking about the Star-Ledger. Thier comment sounds about as creditable as Jimmy Johnson returning to the Cowboys sounded.

Parcells had informed the Giants through an intermediary that he would be interested in returning to the organization to replace the retiring Ernie Accorsi, according to two NFL executives and a player.

Yeah, and exactly what player would have been privy to this information? The only way a player would have known is if Parcells did this through a player, and then that guy would be the biggest idiot on the planet as Parcells would then know exactly who leaked the information.

I beleive this is 100% media hyperbole.

I don't want to say what his role is, but he's around the complex a lot. I trust his info and I'm not here making this stuff up.

He's been hinting that Parcells was going to leave, but he just told me that Parcells is fiinished and that Jerry has a plan in place. I guess we shall see, but I do believe the guy is credible and I believe Parcells is out. There is way too much public smoke on this story just like there was about T.O. coming to Dallas, the pre-season story on Romo, etc.

I've heard from a very good source close to the Cowboys that Jerry DEFINITELY has a plan in place and that Jerry's public statements about wanting Parcells back are just for public spin. He said Bill is done!! He didn't say what the plan was but that Bill is definitely gone.

Take it for what it's worth, but I'm not blowing smoke. Combine what I heard from this guy with the Peter King blurb, and I fully believe Parcells is history in Dallas!

What did Peter King say? He was right about Romo starting. Maybe PK does know something...

As I see it Bill sees an interesting opportunity that will keep him in the game for several more years - This would be an upward move -- Jerry isn't going to offer that sort of role to him. Or might he.......

According to maller, Lovie would Jerry's top choice to replace parcells....if he leaves.

STORY: Bears coach Lovie Smith could make the ultimate power play and work through the remainder of his current contract. Sorry Ed, I really don't know what to say about it. I'll ask tomorrow and see if I can find out anything. As for my own opinion, I see it as just another sign that Parcells is out and the assistants are looking out for their future.
