I was listening to NFL radio last night on my way in to work for mids. They brought up something about the Jets failing Suggs on his physical that got me to thinking. They mentioned that MAYBE the Jets failed Suggs because they found someone they thought they could get that wouldnt cost them a player, instead a draft pick or a cut. They were saying that a team, and this was Kirwan taliking, could fail a player for no reason at all on a physical and that from time to time teams get second thoiughts and intentionally fail a player to get out of the deal.
Could we have failed Adams purposely because we thought there was someone who would be released (I know a few people have named a 2 Detroit WR's) or we could get for a player we didnt plan on keeping anyway(see below).
They had also brought up the age old trick of "spotlighting a player" by starting a potential player with the 1st team to get attention to him as trade bait (hint hint Shanle and a few players who were out of place last weekend with the first team). Could someone in need have taken the bait??????????????
