Damn, Hos, you still got that "man-love" for Williams?

Yeah, no one has found an antidote for me yet.MinnesotaCowboy said:Damn, Hos, you still got that "man-love" for Williams?

You and Yeag love to torture me with that line, but can either of you show me one single down he has played at TE?dbair1967 said:do we need another TE?

The only time people get 2nd thoughts is when they make impulsive decisions -- if you think NFL front offices make those sort of decisions you are fooling yourself.
Those of you who think that giving up a 6th round pick for a legit 3rd or 4th receiver is stupid - you also need a reality check. You guys can get in line behind the people who still think we are going to get Lelie.

I didn't think so.
LOL. Witten is prolly faster than Mike Williams. can we convert him to right tackle ala Rayfield Wright?dbair1967 said:do we need another TE?

29 receptions, 350 yards, 12.1 ypc, and 1 TD...as a WR.dbair1967 said:probably about the same amount of downs he's played at WR then, because he sux so much that he never sees the field
I liked this guy at USC and even liked him going into the draft last yr, but he a HUGE (no pun intended) bust that will never be a starting NFL WR...too slow, no work ethic etc etc

You know, myopia isn't flattering. It's fine to dislike the way a guy plays the game and I'll openly admit I expected more of him and still do.
29 receptions = never sees the field?
Those stats equal his time as a TE?
You know better than that because I know you're not stupid about football. The fact remains he has NOT played one down as a TE. He has played exclusively as a WR. That is exactly what I said and you know it. I didn't exagerate his worth or return to my pre 2005 draft praise of him as the next great WR in the NFL.
You spoke through myopia and now you're just amplifying it. Bad practice IMO. Just food for thought.
A 2nd year player is not a "waste of time." I already acknowledged he hasn't met my expectations. How many times do I need to do that before it sinks in? 3, 4, a dozen? More than that?dbair1967 said:you cant deny the fact that he's a major disappointment, so much so that the Lions have discussed (even publicly) the possibility that he will be released...he's been overweight since day one and has had what two difference coahcing staffs now refer to as a poor work ethic
the guys a waste of time...I dont care what position he plays, he isnt going to see the field much, if at all

Vindicated? After 1 year?starfrombirth said:I remember saying before the draft that Mike Williams would not be a good NFL reciever. He is not even Keyshawn fast and can be covered easily by the bigger faster nfl linebackers. Sometimes it just feels good to be vindicated. :laugh2:
Can you give me the lottery numbers?starfrombirth said:It's not just the talent level Hos. It's the committment, work ethic, and the fact that he can be covered by almost any linebacker in the nfl. Maybe is vindication is still a little on the Horizon but I still stand by my original assessment of him.
