But I have noticed in general he is making pretty good decisions with the football. I think it bodes well for us especially if Kiffin somehow manages to make something out of this defense.

IMO, the defense won this game. They stepped up to the plate and helped out the offense.

But, it will be stated that the Cowboys won this game because Vick was not playing. Romo and the offense did what they did, but the Cowboys defense won this game.

all over the internet that Tanner said he ran the wrong route. Romo chewed him out pretty good for it.

This is really what you get when you are forced to play inexperienced guys. If Murray is on that route, you can bet he's in the right place. People often call for various young guys to play more, but that is the stuff you live with if you do

Good point about mistakes occurring with inexperienced guys.

I'll take that vs losing to a back up QB.

I just wonder how long it will take JG to get his guys to know their assignments. He has been on this roster too long to not not which route to run.

The national guys ripped him apart for this. Dukes and Sharper in particular on NFLN right after the game. Dukes basically insinuated that Romo made a bad throw to Tanner and was trying to escape criticism by chewing him out. Sharper said Romo got "happy feet" and that caused the inaccurate throw. There was no mention of this made and thus I assumed it was not common knowledge.

You are very lucky to get the local guys. Sadly I am out of state and thus stuck with the analysis of Dukes.

I think they broadcast the radio team on the cowboys app.

Romo after the game broke down the play and xplained how tanner went the wrong way and was supposed to be in the flat, he also said Beasley was open.

Jaime dukes doesn't deserve an audience if any kind. He s a complete buffoon. I didn't even realize he still had a job on tv.

No wonder they are up in arms about Demarco and his injury. It also explains a lot of why Demarco has been in on 90% of the plays as well. The other three bums do not either know how to pass block, or there assignments.

I thought the same thing watching it. Playing armchair QB/mind reader, Romo was zig zagging his arms as if he expected Tanner to go the other direction.

I thought this was pretty obvious, couldn't figure out how the broadcast missed it. Either way, tanner also had a gaffe or two in pass protection. He allowed at least one sack because he didn't recognize the stunt.

It's a bummer Dunbar is injured we need him.

That's the type of play a good analyst like Collinsworth gets right away.

Something that should be looked into further.
A lot of players over the course of Garrett's tenure have lacked the grasp of the offense, usually to their detriment.

Coaching? Or really dumb players?

Haven't seen this posted anywhere but apparently that interception to Tanner was actually going to Beasley. Tanner ran the wrong route and led his man into the passing lane resulting in the INT. He was supposed to run out into the flat.

When I first watched it I just thought it was a horrendous throw to Tanner honestly. But upon rewatching it again from the highlights it is pretty apparent. Beasley indeed had a step on his man right behind Tanner. The play could have gone for 10-15 yards to Beasley easily.

I'm not trying to say Romo has no blame in the INT. Players are going to run wrong routes at times and the quarterback still has to be aware of what happens on the field. But I have noticed in general he is making pretty good decisions with the football. I think it bodes well for us especially if Kiffin somehow manages to make something out of this defense.

Yeah, someone on the game thread said they thougt that's what happened. That's why Romo was talking to Tanner afterward.
Beasely had his man beat.
Having said that, on the replay it looked like even if Tanner did not get in the way, Romo's throw to Beasely may have not been great either.

Oh well, bottom line, victory Dallas!

The dude can't catch a break this year on his interceptions, he's yet to throw an actual interception due to a legit poor throw. I was wondering why Romo was on Tanner, because when it happened it looked like it was just a piss poor throw.

People should be eating some crow right now about this interception. There was a few here ripping Romo saying that him chewing on Tanner showed his lack of leadership and is a good way for him to lose the team. I mean I'm not going to name any names ... @Zordon
