That’s when you thought you were being cute, clever, charming, funny and flirtatious and she didn’t.
He probably said nice "your guess here". She then sat in her room alone stewing until she boiled over because he only spent 45 seconds with her.

To some extent, given electronic news outlets reporting along with "famous" people attending events that are mixed in with fans, and I hate to say this, it almost like scouting events where it's always "2 deep". For scouting, this means than anytime an adult is with a minor, there HAS to be two adults together when "one on one" with a minor.

Did Irvin actually do anything? Who knows, could be 50/50 either it's a whacked out woman or perhaps Irvin had too many and he got frisky with a hot attractive woman who was looking to bag someone of his stature and Irvin backed off and ticked her off or perhaps he did do something. Thing is, if Irvin had someone with him, he now has "back up" as to what actually happened.

Not saying having "two deep" is right or wrong with adults, but given the possible headaches being that your famous, it could be a life saver.

Know a guy in scouts that was with a boy on a camping trip. For 5 minutes, they were alone together with no one else around. In that 5 minutes, the boy claimed that the adult acted improperly with him. Became a huge fiasco, but in the end, the boy made up the story because the adult had reprimanded him a couple of weeks prior, and the boy wanted to get back at him. Made the guys life living hades for a couple of weeks until the truth finally came out.

When it comes to social media, seems people are guilty on anything they are accused of until the facts actually come out.
I totally agree there are people in this world that would look at a guy like Michael Irvin and try and set him up.

Knowing that in a situation like this he might go out and have a few drinks and that would give them an opportunity to do something and maybe extort some money out of him.

It's a dog eat dog world and even a celebrity like Michael Irvin if he looks at all compromised there is someone out there that's ready to jump on it and take advantage and that could be exactly what happened.

Just starring at someone can get you in trouble these days and it wouldn't even last more than a few seconds.
In today's world people can find an excuse to get butt hurt over almost anything and make an issue out of it.

Everyone's feelings are very fragile now and have to be taken into consideration at all times.

And there is the possibility that he wasn't set up and said the wrong thing to the wrong person, we just don't know.

There is another angle to this from the NFL owners, who also own that network.

Think some of those owners are tired of all the unbalanced Cowboys coverage and having the ultimate homer on their own network? Think Lurie and Mara like seeing that?

When Irvin left ESPN Radio, there were rumors about rape and mention of an underage girl but this quickly died down and he just disappeared and reappeared on NFLN with a strong rumor Booger was responsible for that. The rumors died down as fast as they started up and that takes power and money to make that go away.

It has nothing to do with the truth and everything to do with how it looks for the NFL. Irvin might just have given those owners that do not want him on their network selling his team, and there is no bigger Booger backer from an ex player than Irvin, what they need to fire him for cause. Every contact carries the moral turpitude clause and that can be used as grounds for termination without further pay.

There is another issue they have to deal with, sponsors. If you watch NFLN and check their commercial load, the one thing that stands out is the number of PSA's from the Ad Council. The NFLN has trouble selling their spots and you will also notice a lot of frequency to the spots they sell because they can't sell enough different advertisers and some of those spots are freebies to the NFL sponsors. The NFLN is not a money maker.

When the Ray Rice mess showed up, it wasn't the public outrage that got Goodell's attention, it was the calls from the sponsors.

Completely agree with everything you've said.

My hope is, if Irving has/had done nothing wrong, he could sue and bankrupt the person who made the news.

End of the day, I took a mechanic to court (I'm small time, no one knows who I am as I'm just a regular joe). The mechanic lost because I felt that I was right in my assessment of the situation and I didn't owe him money. Still cost me money to prove I was right though.

I think Irvin has been around the block enough in his younger days to know what to expect on his end.

Unfortunately, it's the only Cowboys-related Super Bowl talk we can have this week.
Great comment. All of those who are rushing to judgement without knowing the facts have an agenda. Yes, he is obnoxious & loud with a prior history but I’ll wait for the facts before I judge the man.

I don’t know about most Ministers but my dad, if he is meeting with a lady from the Church about something always have a Deacon of the Church with him in those meetings at all times.

I listened to the 105.3 The Fan interview with Mike yesterday and a few things became clear.

#1) Michael said that he had no recollection of talking to this woman even though there is security footage showing they had a 1 minute interaction. He went on to tell the guys "I'm going to be honest with you, I had a few drinks that night" so he almost certainly was totally blacked out when he got to the hotel.

#2) Michael is definitely being pulled from all Super Bowl coverage based on how he was talking. He was not in good spirits and definitely seemed off.

No one can possibly know what happened, but I think there is certainly a very likely possibility that a blacked out Michael Irvin made some unwanted/vulgar advances on a hotel employee who then reported it to her boss, who took it up with Mike's employer, ESPN.

Not saying anything is or isn't true, but those are the pieces that I can put together.

Without rushing to judgement, I hate to say it but there are some pretty heinous stories out there about Michael from over the years so I would not put anything past him. I read one recently about an alleged encounter after a radio show interview with a female assistant that was... unflattering to say the least and predatory at its worst.

Your father sounds like a very intelligent man.

There is however a very sad irony in your fathers position.

Forget where, but a while ago there was a video where a woman came up on stage and stated she was sexually abused by the minister standing next to her. I believe the minister admitted his guilt and stepped down.

I don't look at women, but being we have been involved with state foster care (as well as the scouts on my end) never be alone with a child that is not yours is also something to think about.

Found it... if I broken the rules apologies, but the link below to what I was refering to

It doesn’t happen every day or we would be hearing about it. Stuff like this involving anyone who does television makes news and usually leads to them getting fired.

You’re being naïve. Someone would have to be living in a cave not to know what’s been going on the last few years. Anyone in the public eye who’s been involved in misconduct with a female has made news. This is making news and there doesn’t appear to be a lot to it at least according to Irvin. Until we see the video, he claims all he did was talk to her for about a minute and didn’t even remember it. If all he’s doing is talking with her nothing will probably come of this. If he said something to her inappropriate it can’t be proven.

Jimmy the Greek did it in an interview. There is no doubt on what happened or what was said with his incident. So far with Irvin, it's just he said she said unless there is an audio recording of their conversation.
I just mentioned to someone if all there is to this is him talking to a woman on surveillance for about a minute nothing will probably come of it even if he did say something inappropriate, because there isn’t going to be any audio to prove it.

I’m not sure what you mean by nothing coming from it. He was booted from the hotel and then booted from NFL network SB coverage. Isn’t that enough? Lol

Maybe the Network will boot him all together .
