Crap. I guess I'm lucky my wife hasn't made multiple accusations against me over the years. That’s when you thought you were being cute, clever, charming, funny and flirtatious and she didn’t.
I could be wrong, but similar to Joe Nameth, once you get older you don't have that same appeal these older star players seem to think they still have. It happens to everyone. But the once famous players have a hard time with this.Once you’ve partied as much as Irvin and many athletes have, it’s incredibly difficult to extract yourself out of it. Especially when your on the road all the time and at big events like the SB when groupies are around and the prostitution industry and sexual trafficking is making bank.
I was thinking the same thing. Accused of misconduct with a female could spell the end of his TV career. Loved him as a player, but can’t stand listening to his loud motormouth. He gets overly passionate from my liking. It’s amazing Irvin has gone this long before being cancelled. Lol
Now this is blasphemy!Never thought I’d miss Buck too.
The network had no other choice or they’ll be criticized. He’s pulled until it’s investigated. It’s the protocol everywhere. They’re not going to leave someone on the air with an accusation like that hanging over them. Pulling them is the appropriate thing to do. You have to error on the side of caution. It’s not like Irvin doesn’t have a history of bad behavior.Woman makes complaint, NFL Network completely folds and sends Irvin home. Typical.
His work now seems like nothing but a Skit.Yep
He’s become nothing but a huge Homer for the Cowboys. It’s most unlistenable anyway.
Today’s jokers will believe anything they see on the internet. They’re lazy and dumb.I mean we already have "Cowboy fans" posting above you saying he's guilty already.
Merica...Guilty until proven innocent.
I've heard more than once that his wife is no saint either...but, that could be for obvious reasons.Yup for 32 years to I guess a very forgiving woman...
Probably video as well.Yeah...if it was in the lobby, I suspect there would be lots of witnesses. But, who knows.
If it happened in a hotel lobby there should be surveillance video. In a hotel lobby? Either this is a nothing burger or Irvin was completely hammered.
This is why lawyers tell people to shut their traps when something is amiss with them. Not a good statement from him but we'll see what unfolds. Where ya at, TMZ?Michael quoted . Link below
They said, ‘Well, last night you walked in, you talked to somebody.’ I said, ‘I didn’t talk to anybody. I went straight to the room.’ And then they showed it on camera that I did talk to somebody. I talked to this girl for about a minute. I don’t know what — they didn’t show it to me. They told it to me. I didn’t see it. But that’s why they moved me, because I guess the girl said I said something to her within that minute that we talked, and so they moved me.”
“That’s why I’m kind of hiding to wait and see how everything comes down,” Irvin continued. “It was a minute meeting somewhere in the lobby. I don’t even remember it really because I had a few drinks, to tell you the truth.”
Irvin told the Dallas News that there was no physical interaction with the woman beyond a handshake.

"I don't care about this game. I wanna kiss you." - Joe NamathMan, I hope the story isn't true, but if he said he was drunk and could not remember that is bad news.
As a person in the public eye that just isn't tolerated anymore. e.g. Joe Namath's cringeworthy session with Suzie Kolber.
There are more than enough examples for any public persona to know not what to do.
Few drinks? I'd say quite a few if he can't remember or that's a convenient excuse. They have to prove to him he did talk to someone after he said he went straight to his room? Benefit of the doubt gets weak when he can't even alibi himself.Michael quoted . Link below
