Is Andrew Luck overrated?

No. He's undermanned out there. No QB, much less a second year QB, is going to do very well with that talent. He'll be fine once they put some players around him IMO. I'd trade Romo for Luck right now and never look back.

I would too.

Well if you're talking about the future of this franchise, then yes I'd take Andrew Luck over any QB in the league not named Aaron Rodgers. Andrew Luck seems like he'll be the staple for that Colts franchise for at least a decade. If we're just talking this year only though, then it's Tony Romo imo.

Luck is probably the second best QB right now of that group the way Wilson is playing. BUT you cannot discount all those 4th QTR comebacks he has had. That has a cumulative effect- the Colts know if they can keep it close he can win it for them. That kind of confidence is hard to measure in how much effect overall that it has but it is not small.

The Colts are not as good a team as they looked at the end of last year. They had no depth which shows up now with those injuries.

You completely ignore the fact that he's been the main reason they've been down for those fourth quarter comebacks. Throwing INTs early in games and giving the opposing offense a short field to work with is no one's fault but he's own.

RGIII is a bust man. I dont have any reason to be bias in this argument. Im much happier that the Skins have him instead of Luck.

A bust? In less than a season's time? LMBO!!! Not even close.

Only the bias an declare a player a bust in just his second season. That is comment is ridiculous.

Why are you on a Cowboys site slobbing on RGIII?

Im not hating on him. Trust me, I want to see him under center every game!

The same is expected by Griffin, yet he gets zero sympathy. Luck doesn't deserve any either.

There are a few reasons...

Because RGIII has Alfred Morris to help in the run game and is currently just 4 yards shy of getting his second 1k+ season.
Luck's top TWO running backs COMBINED have 207 yards LESS than Morris. IOW his run game sucks.

The Colts are 8-4...nearly three times as many wins as the Skins. While is not fair to always give wins or losses to just a QB...that is how much of the media does it, along with many fans.

Andrew Luck is not the attention seeking person that RGIII is. I don't care how much you try to argue it by your OWN bias. That is simply the truth.

Andrew Luck does not talk in front of the media and suggest that the Coaches or other Players are to blame for some of the teams losses or bad plays...RGIII has done that.

I'll ask again.

You have the opportunity to trade Bob for Luck straight up.

Yay or nay?

No he's not over rated. Hes having less of a sophmore year than his rookie year and that's not unusual.

RGIII is likely going to rebound next year as well. Of course I think it would be hilarious if he continues to decline further and further because what the Skins gave up to get him is just too dang much for 1 player. It would be awesome if he continues to decline because they will have really set themselves back with that move if he does.

Nay. I'll stay with who we have. Now you can tell me I'm a fool without taking into account the performances of both players in almost two seasons.

Yes, they both will get better next season. This I have no doubt of. Yet people can continue to get upset with me for bringing up the fact that some of these excuses that have been used to excuse Luck's problems the past two seasons and can said for Griffin as well, but some people in this thread refuse to recognize that. They both have bad offensive lines, Luck has better receiving options, Griffin has a better running game. They both can use better players around them.

I just find it interesting that someone makes a thread asking if Luck is overrated, and most people are saying no he isn't for same problems they ignore when it comes to Griffin.

I think Washington has a better overall offensive line and I don't think it is a bad line at all. You don't lead the league in rushing as a team two years in a row with a bad offensive line. The Colts do have a bad line. I also think Washington has better receiving options now that Reggie Wayne is injured. The Colts have a better defense.

The skins fan in here tried to argue that bob isn't an attention *****? Bob sucks as a passer. As a football player he's pretty good when healthy though. Very frail guy too. Always limping and falling hard. His career will end like Sean Taylor only bob won't get killed, he'll prob succumb to injury It'll be more like skins fans will talk with nostalgia and what could've beens mixed with exaggeration.

Luck is improving and is on the rise. Is he top 5 yet? No. Bit he will get there, barring injury.
