Is Austin the new #1

Has to be. No one else is producing like him. Of course Roy is gonna be all butt hurt but his own fault.

He clearly is.

I was dead wrong about the guy. All he needed was a chance. He's seized his opportunity, and besides Witten, is our number one going foward.

It's clear that he's Romo's number one whenever Witten is not out there, and thats all that matters once the ball is snapped.

I didn't want to drink the Austin kool aid, rendering him a one game wonder - but man, what a producer. I am on that tip now. I think it was clear that Roy is not 100% right now, at least mentally - you could see that on that 3rd down drop in the 1st half when he knew a hit was coming. All in all, it's great to know that we have a number one, even if it's someone different each game.

He is #1 but will still line up at #2 because nobody told him he was #1

He is stepping up to the plate like one...so yes.

The coaches don't want to hurt Williams ego, so Austin will be known as the #2 but in reality is actually the #1.

Crayton is a slot guy.

Hurd is a STer.

Ogletree is a developmental guy.

So who else would the #1 WR be?

Oh, you're talking about the paycheque stealer? :banghead: Why are we still talking about that guy - he's all washed up.

I think Romo needs to do more of what he did today, run when there is an opportunity and get Bennett involved in the offense, that will open up everything for Austin, Witten and Roy. Also, we need to start throwing in some screen plays to Felix to get him in space....

it sure isnt Roy. the Romo-Williams connection is awful. Not all William's fault although he did drop 2 passes right in his hands. they just dont trust eachother

Keep him at the #2 spot, but we all know that Austin will be the first read, this way Williams ego isn't hurt.

At some point one would think they would start clicking. If they can get both Roy and Miles into the passing game this offense could really be special. :crossed:

Austin has shown that teams must double him. I don't understand the Romo and RW thing. There is clearly something wrong between them but you wonder. Maybe Romo takes a long time to trust someone. He and Austin have been together since they were rookies.

Is there a doubt, he possesses two things RW doesn't. Play making abilities and Romo's trust.

Maybe it's not far fetched to think that thanks to the emergence of Austin we'll see the Roy we've been waiting for.

Yea if we somehow got Roy going. the Miles-Roy duo could be a "poor man's" Owens-Glenn duo.

I believe Austin is going to be a free agent after this season too,,,, boy, sure would be nice to have all that Roy Williams money back,,, and those draft picks
