Is Bill Parcells "OK" all the Recent Media Hype? ...The Saga Continues

Having been on the other side, I think Parcells enjoys media attention as much as anyone. It's a control thing with him. He gets a kick out of trying to control the hype. Just look at how jovial he becomes with the media.

... he enjoys being the central focus, IMO.

I agree totally.

Part of it is control, but he also has a big ego. He wants to be the center of things and really seems to enjoy the give-and-take and verbal sparring at the news conferences. This helps feed the bully in him because he's going up against some real lightweights at those news conferences.

I like how they're all "Should the Cowboys be worried about this:" type threads.

I think it's the Eagles who should be worried!

Worried that their best player just signed with their most-hated rival

Worried they now have nothing at receiver

Worried about their QB's fragile psyche healing as well as his body

Worried that they're the least improved team in the division

Worried about rebounding from a 6-10 season

Worried that Owens and the Cowboys will win the championship that their team never could

It's the Eagles who have plenty to be worried about, not the Cowboys

:trophy:

Exactely! PT comes over here asking all these stupid questions...like he's concerned....:lmao:

He's scared to death, and worried to the bone...because he knows the end has come for his philthy team!

None! At least the updated Philadelphia Sack Exchange has a chance to get on that list.

Well OK, if your trying to make the point that none of the original Sack Exchange is in the top Sack producers of all time and you don't expect Bunkly, Patterson, Kearse or Howard to be there either, then I understand where your going now. I retract my objections.

BTW, NFL didn't start tracking Sacks as an official stat until 1982 I believe. All of the original Sack Exchange had already been in the league a good 3 season prior to. Most of them much longer so who's to say how many sacks they really had?

Me too. Admittedly, I was fooled early on in believing he was actually here for reasonable discussion. But, I was new to the board, he had a couple of thousand posts...so I just assumed it to be true.

However, he has unraveled himself lately.

I saw through him the first few posts of his that I read...

That's why I always call him a "sophisticated troll"...he tries to veil his posts so as not to come off as a regular troll...

But, like he typed..."if it quacks like a duck and walks like a duck..."

No, it's not called sarcasm. It was merely a play on words using near-homonym's - or words that at least rhymed. Homonic phrases? I may have just invented a new expression.

I didn't think it was too hard to catch.

PT, you're a fool, you know that? Torrin Tucker was the key to our offensive line woes, not the key to the success of our offensive line.

quote from 5Stars ...Exactely! PT comes over here asking all these stupid questions...like he's concerned....

Thats not Exactely (SIC)true Stasheroo, 5Stars believes I'm scared to the bone, but actually I'm not. But for the sake of seeing where he's going with this, let's say I'm afraid (huh! ...that'll be the day) ...

Afraid of being beat twice by the entire NFC-East again, afraid of having most of the Eagles Offensive 1st team Injured again, perhaps being afraid of TO (never!) ...the Only thing that remainsd is afraid Of being In the basement again?

We only have one direction to go ...and that's up. But guess who was one team Up from us in 2005! Now either your team will move up, or we'll step over you.

Nothing personal, if it's the Giants or Commanders, we'll step over them too. The Eagles are very healthy and very hungry. While our WR corp lacks, we make up for it in several other areas.

No Fear here!

Please.

Save the nonsense!

I'm not making sense?

You're comparing your average D-line against the NY Sack Exchange, not me pal!

Check this out:

1981: The Jets get off to a 0-3-1 start and once again look ticketed to an awful season. However a powerful defense that earned the nickname "New York Sack Exchange". Joe Klecko and Mark Gastineau who lead the NFL in sacks with 20.5, and 20 respectfully lead the Sack Exchange. The Jets defense would spur them on to a 10-5-1 season, which earns the Jets a Wild Card spot, and their first trip to the postseason since 1969. In the Wild Card game at Shea Stadium against the Buffalo Bills, the Jets get off to a rough start falling behind 24-0. However, the Jets would fight their way back into the game before losing 31-27 when QB Richard Todd is intercepted on the Bill 2 yard line with 10 seconds left in the game

Did you read that?

20 sacks!

20.5 sacks!

Your whole line doesn't come close to 20 - your whole line!

To compare that bunch of stiffs to the Sack Exchange is a joke!

2 has-beens and 2 unknowns if ya ask me...............

:lmao:

Don't Get me wrong 5S ...I wasn't busting your chops about spelling so much as I was about how the key word in your point was not correct ...that threw off the integrity of your sentence.

True I guess I was the kettle calling the pot black this time. Lol!

I'll backoff of that one.

Again, the question must be asked....

PT: What other KEY OL have we lost besides Allen?

I can keep reposting this, as necessary, for you to see it. I am guessing everyone is starting to see thru your crap now. You can't even answer the question. You continually ignore it.
