Is Bledsoe an improvement over Vinny?

Bledsoe has played above all expectations as far as Im concerned.

I'd be willing to bet 80% or better of the people on this board would rather have him than Testaverde.

True, unfortunately the loud mouthed minority gets all the face time.

I don't think there's much difference. Less interceptions, maybe less fatigue later in the year, but same arms, and Vinny was never looking downfield so much and missing a wide open Witten like Bledsoe did so often this game. I don't know what he'll do with the Jets this year, but if Vinny was in the same shape as last year, somehow I don't think the QB results this year wouldn't be much different with Testaverde starting.

What a joke....

Let me say this very slowly...

Y------E---------S

What friggin games are you watching??

WE would be 0-4 with VT at QB....

I could list all the reasons Bledsoe is better but I am not wasting my time..

I am a Bledsoe Crtitic but he has played ok the problem is the times we need a perfect pass he tends to skip them. He had happy feet towards the end of the game he was getting hammered and it showed he rushed that pass to glen and there was room to step up in the pocket to buy time he did neither and he did not look at anyone but Glenn

It also did not help on 2nd and 2 the left side of the oline was dominated and the dline was in the back field as soon as JJ was handed the ball.

I am sorry but Flo and Larry have played like garbage in the running game this year the oline is sub-par so far

He's not that much better than Vinny. Go back and check Vinny's stats through the first 4 games last year. They were excellent.

4 games isn't much. Let's see if Bledsoe actually throws for more TD's than int's by the end of the year.

Bledsoe isn't great, but Vinny was worthless. I don't see as many mistakes forcing into coverage yet - at least when the games on the line. Bledsoe threw the pick for a TD last week but they still won. How many games did VT lose doing that? I remember a few.

Bledsoe did not have a good day- and he was due after 3 straight good ones.
But the O line did not play well at all- either run or pass blocking. We should have scored and won the game at the end there- but did not. We did not play well enough to deserve to win.

Washington was not a good game.

Count me in.
Another year of VT would have been suicidal. Watch what he does for the Jets.

Hey, I'm not protecting Vinny... Vinny was below average and Bledsoe has been better than that.

So would you rather have Testaverde?

Quincy and Vinny at least beat the Commanders, will Bledsoe be the first Dallas QB to cost us a sweep? Keep in mind, I don't totally blame Bledsoe, I think he makes bad reads and locks in to a receiver occasionally, but the playcalling and terrible blocking is putting him in bad situations more than anything else.

Maybe I phrased all this wrong, but I do believe Bledsoe is slightly better than Vinny, just not by much. Turnovers hurt, and for whatever reason, Vinny threw too many, probably because that 40 year old body couldn't do what the mind remembers he used to be able to. But I always thought Vinny was never given a fair shake by Dallas fans. That was disgraceful how they booed him in the last part of the year just because they wanted Henson, who wasn't anywhere close to being ready. Testaverde used Witten more than Bledsoe, he read defenses better, reacted better under pressure, he just didn't have the younger arm like Bledsoe. Testaverde really wasn't that bad. Folks are too hard on him. To do what he did at his age, with that running game that was a hell of a lot more horrible than anything Bledsoe has, as well as a defense that completely broke, AND missing probably his best receiver in Terry Glenn... well, you can't tell me that wasn't impressive. Given the same exact roster and 2004 body, Testaverde would probably have us at 2-2 as well.

Bledsoe is about two steps up. We needed to get a QB in the first round after suffering from Vinny. I think Bledsoe is very good most of the time , just no mobility. :( Also our line is lame.
