I played OT and OG for 7 yrs in high school and College.

Wow!!! So then why the statement about run blocking and blitz pickup I would think a big time jock like you would know that. Just because a team shows the ability to run block has nothing to do with how that same until reacts or handles a blitzing defense.

Quit name calling. The motion of the cut of the throat by Bledsoe is a audible. He did it numerous times when they were Blitzing. Why not audible to your strength the run. No way 5 guys block 7.

In football the 2 most important pieces are Head Coach and QB.

With that in mind Do we have the future(answer) on this team.

We do not have a Franchise QB that will grow with the team. Thats what we have always had a franchise Qb to grow with the team. This coach and QB are at the final part of their careers with a young team.

Excuse the fact that fans want some stability from the QB for years to come.

I think there is a future at QB on this team and I feel Dallas should also look to draft another this upcoming draft. What I don't agree with is fans time table. You must do it when I want or else I'm going to complain and moan. I thought the 9ers fans were whinny but you guys put them to shame.

I take no fault from Bledsoe on his play but I'm not in the mob who thinks you panic and start making a major change like pulling your QB after week 4 of a season. I know of no HC that would be that dumb enough to do that unless they felt their team was not going anywhere’s this season. While some of our fans have given up (which is not unusual) I don't think the organization is ready to play training camp in October and I don't think players on this team are turning against Bledsoe I think the only ones doing that is our fans also nothing new there I have witnessed that many times in this franchise history.

In my case I'm not giving up on the season what so ever...I happen to believe we have a better chance with Romo...yes I know call me crazy, but I really do...and it's just my opinion.

Bledsoe has made some very poor decisions that have cost us some games...not just this year. Last year in Seattle, which I saw first hand, he threw the game away in the last minutes there. There are to many examples now of him basically losing the game by making poor decisions...

Since he's lost some games on his own over the past two years I happen think that Romo would not fair any worse, but again that is just my unproven opinion.

In my little brain I feel Romo gives us the best chance to win...

This team would need to be under .500 heading into November in order to see Romo on the field.

I doubt even then Michael. Just remember the Vinny era. :banghead:

If the OL is so bad Why are we the 3rd best rushing team. And have the 5th best RB.

Formula for success in the NFL is run the ball, stop the run, and don't turn the ball over. Our RBs have 6 TDs and our QB has 7 ints.
Pass protection and run blocking are 2 separate things.

Parcells said we need to pass protect better.

Owens was yelling at them to give Bledsoe time.

I wonder what they don't understand that you do?:

And ample ones that have helped us win games as well. I like Romo and when his chances comes I'll be pulling for him as much as anyone but I'm not going to kid myself and think from my living room that I'm seeing what the coaching staff sees all week long. I honestly believe if Parcells and the staff felt Romo was the best option they would put him in as the starter. Before all is said and done that may end up being the case but as of right now Bledsoe is the guy and has my support.

Very well put. I feel like Bledsoe's performance has contributed to both losses, but he has a lot of company. The Cowboys are playing at preseason form. It's a wonder they are 2-2 with all of their mistakes. I don't think Romo's presence will stop the penalties, turnovers, missed tackles, 100-yard kickoff returns, missed field goals, poor pass blocking, etc. I don't have all the answers, but I know this team can still get on a roll with Bledsoe, yes Bledsoe, at the helm. It's too early to throw in the towel.

Why do people think we are throwing in the towel by wanting Romo???

It could not be more opposite for me!!!

I think he gives a better chance to WIN...and win NOW.

At what point will his teammates completely lose faith in his ability to help them win?

How long can the oline protect a statue? They have to be ALL superstars...not sure a brickwall could protect him now.

When does the team realize they can not win with him at the helm?

And after that....BP sticks with him???
he's the team captain. (i was bummed when he was voted that)

every player is worrying about HIMSELF as per Tuna's "way of life" in football.

some like our #1 pick is barely cracking the roster. others like Ellis are fighting for a football life.

the one's reading forums and blogs and jen-jen aren't ones coming back.

this is 100% a coaching decision.

Sigh...

In an effort to avoid a daily pissing match with you, I've edited my signature line to address this "issue."

By all means, carry on.

The very premise of your thread is that the team must think Romo gives them a better shot. What gives you that idea??? Just because you subscribe to the "grass is greener" theory? The line and Bledsoe have done a decent job up to this point, and they ran into a team that has extraordinary depth in the pass rushing positions. They were able to rotate in fresh bodies and keep the pressure up. Clearly it's something they need to work on, but you're going to turn the season over to someone with no NFL experience?

He was seen during the last game yelling at the OL, not the QB.

I wonder why?

He's pumping up his teammates as Rivera said. They seriously should have miked TO so we could have avoided all this hearsay BS about him screaming on the sidelines.

He wants the ball. Dallas threw 38 times and he was open 13 times-- he should have gotten more than 4 catchable passes.

You make a fair point...and they would have to be behind Romo.

Just because you subscribe to the "grass is greener" theory?
Actually, this goes against my grain most of the time...most of the time I would not think that way, however seeing Romo in person...he impressed me and gave me a feeling that he could be very good. After watching Bledsoe for two years make rookie type mistakes...well let;s essentially put a rookie in there to make those on his own.

For me this is not knee-jerk...it was the last straw!

but you're going to turn the season over to someone with no NFL experience?

I understand that, but he's been here for 3+ years...he knows the playbook as well as Bledsoe if not better.

I'm just saying, he hasn't "drunk from the firehose" yet. Look at what happened to Losman, one of the most mobile young QB's in the league. 27 Sacks in 9 partial games last year. He was clearly way over his head, and still is to some degree. You'll waste your QB of the future if you put him out there with bad O-line play.

Because he know's that at this point Drew Headslow isn't going to get any better. Ok that was a reach.

Then again, when Drew threw that terrible INT intended for TO, I remember him saying "Are you kidding me?". I don't think he was complaining about the 'O' line then was he?

So Drew is going to have 20 TDs and 30 Ints this year? Riiiiiiight. Wil be closer to 25 TDs 16 INTs.

The INT you are speaking of is about 70/30 on TO. He was loly gagging on his route which fooled Bledsoe as TO took off after Bledsoe threw it. If Owens goes at 100% then its an easy TD.
