It depends on what the score is. If we get behind early, he's below average. If the game is Out Of Reach and it's the fourth quarter, he's probably the best quarterback in the league.

so every first rd pick to a bad team has been bad is what you are saying
that is pretty stupid
I know, right? Archie Manning was elite, but was on the moribund Saints teams.

Aaron Rodgers missed the playoffs his last year w/ the Packers.

How about that elite Dak, sweetie pie? lmao. Was not what you were looking for, huh?
He'll be back to playing elite soon.

In the last 2 years, the fanbase gave up on him early and he came back and got us to 12-4 both times. The last loss both years were meaningless.

Once the defense stops sucking and/or gets their players back, Cowboys will start to slowly inch back up and Dak will look good as usual.

Arguable imo. He always come thru in the regular season.

Pittsburgh is one of the best defenses in the league, particularly in the red zone. Cousins (500 yards last week) and Herbert couldn't move the ball on them.

And he had 2/3 of a team, including injuries to Cooks, and while the defense played well...it's a challenge to win a game without Parsons and Lawrence. I bet no general football fan predicted us to win without our top 2 defensive players. I'm seeing QBs this year lose a lot when they had injuries...like Stafford, Purdy, etc.

I'd imagine he'd be Top 6 in Mahomes Mountain this week.

That last drive was awesome.... great throw, put it where he trust Tolbert could catch it, and Tolbert caught it.

I expect 10-7.

Good but not elite. He’s on the cusp though, imo. After today, he certainly slid a little bit. But being 1 dimensional and having 1 weapon being the defensive focus all game certainly isn’t doing him any favors. This isn’t college where one player can take over a game, you need a decent running attack and at least a real second receiving threat (TE or WR). Dallas has zero outside of Lamb.
On the cusp? He's choked in the playoffs three years in a row, he's choking practically this whole season so far. No, the team isn't helping him much, but other QB's have occasionally stepped up when their defense is struggling. He never steps up unless an opposing D goes into prevent and puts in backups. He's been like that for years. He's not even close to on the cusp of Elite. He's a moderately good regular season QB that is vastly overpaid for what he offers.

Mahomes must really suck this year.

He hasn’t had much playoff success, that’s why I said “on the cusp”. He wins a couple playoff games in a row and leads the team to a nfc title game, then the narrative changes quickly. You can poop on his recent regular season performances all you want, but the fact is his past history and statistics say he’s a pretty good QB but not elite (which is what I clearly said).

Dude is a bum passing his stats against a division that was in complete disarray. Now Dak is playing on the Conmanders of the last couple years and he looks even worse than Sam Howell.

But, but if Dak has a HOF roster around him, he’ll be back!!!

Dude couldn’t even win when he had the leading TO defense in the league holding the 49ers to a 17 pt average. When he blows, he looks like the absolute worst player on the field.

So the defense is responsible for Dak's fumbles and interceptions?

He's a good regular season QB, but he's not elite. When the defense struggles, he doesn't step up. There's a reason so many teams have said their game plan was to force Dak to beat them. Regardless, he's a good regular season QB, but he's not even close to elite because he chokes in the big moments.

The same amount of interceptions as Mountain Mahomes.
I didn’t realize Dak had three sb and is missing his WRs. Did you miss the fact that Mahomes interceptions haven’t been nearly as costly to his team, they haven’t happened after multiple 3 and out, failing to score multiple time in the red zones, etc. Dak can’t hold Mahomes jock strap so don’t compare them.

I did not realize Moutain Mahomes had the Dallas D that gives up 32 points a game.
