I'm sorry: I didn't know the chiefs were blown out at home, with one of the most embarrassing defeats in their franchise's history, and Mahomes was only able to put up 9 points worth of offense. He deserves more criticism, I see...
How about Burrow putting up 10 yesterday against the Giants until a last run that came when the Giants tried to go big and risky to stop the short yardage and ended up giving up the long run.

Why was Burrow not blown out scoring really only 10 points? The last 7 was garbage points.

I do believe, before our games started, during the week I made the point that having only 6 points into the third quarter wasn't going to cut it against the Lions. Then during this game, we only had 6 points into the third quarter as well, but the difference was the game wasn't close as it was against the Steelers. The offense has to score a lot more than 6 points by that point in the game to be able to win against the. But here is the sad thing, you are able to believe someone is elite, but then you don't expect them to be able to put up a lot of points. You don't see the contradiction there?

The notion we are fine because another team loses....is the very definition of immature losers.
Yes other teams and qbs are gonna lose. But if you ignore the embarrassing way and number....ghen you are just a dang fool.

They want it both way: To be able to think their QB is elite, while at the same time not expecting him to have to earn it by putting up points and winning. If we lose it is always the Defense fault, or the running game, or the offensive line, or the coaching, or Jerrah.

his first bad game all year. Every other game it truly was someone elses fault.

The defense against the Saints. CDs fumble and Guyton's holding that took away possession at the 2 yard line against the Ravens.

Obviously, I don't agree, when I complained last week that the performance against the Steelers wouldn't cut it against a better offense. Sometimes you win while having a bad game because the other team has an even worse game. But instead, it got spun off into some kind of victory parade and even asking the question if he was elite.

Steelers are 4-2. Obviously not a bad team. I don't know why people try to chalk that win up to the Steelers being bad. Who have the Bills and 49ers beaten? Both could be 3-3 by the end of the night.

Sometimes you'll have a bad offensive game. Sometimes not. And as I said before the game, my random feeling was that today was gonna be one of those days. Why? I dunno as in normal circumstances we've had success against the Lions.

Saying the other Team had a worse game than you, isn't exactly saying that, that team is bad. If it wasn't for the Defense we would've lost that game.

We should probably refer to Dak as "Kad" in the backward groupy's threads.

I am sorry, it is impossible to be blown out when your D gives up 16.4 points a game.

What does Defense have to do with the offense only being able to score 9 points? You can excuse the Offense and by extension the Quarterback when you can see they put up an effort and put up points on the board. But when you only have 6 points into the 3rd quarter, that wasn't the defense's fault. I am by no means saying that the defense is great, but last week they overachieved and played a great game, and we also only had 6 points on the board in the 3rd quarter. And we are going back to the original premise of the thread, which is to be elite. Perhaps your definition and expectations of what it takes for a quarterback to be elite is less than mines, but I'd expect an elite quarterback to be able to put a respectable number of points onto the board. It's is perhaps the most basic of expectations there.

Well losing 16-9 would not be a blow out now would it?

I suppose losing 47-30 would have made you feel better.

Your argument would work, except for the fact when we beat the stealers, I pointed out that we wouldn't win against the Detroit if we only have 6 points at that point in the third quarter. I pointed out that Detroit has a great offense, so great in fact that we had to hear Brady -- someone who knows great offenses -- keep bringing up how great they are. My point, which you trying to ignore, is that it doesn't matter if the defense would've gave the effort that they did against the Steelers, if the offense only scores 9 points. Also 16-9, aren't you asking a lot from an defense that had overachieved the previous week, and everyone on this board has been bemoaning that they were bad? I don't like losing at all, but if we lost 47-30 then I couldn't blame the offense. And again, the premise of the original thread is if Dak is Elite versus if Dak is good. Is you point that Dak is still elite despite only scoring 9 points, or that it should be excused because he had an off day? I'm not quite sure what you are arguing.
