Is Dak officially the best QB in the NFC?

Dak is 0-3 against Purdy the last 3 times the teams have played, and played really bad in each game. And you think Dak is better?

Guess we'll see how things turn out in a few weeks.
Dak is 0-2 against the 49ers defense, not Brock Purdy. And vice versa.

Probably. It's laughable how terrible the NFC QBs are compared to the AFC QBs.

AFC top 8:

1. Mahomes
2. Burrow
3. Allen
4. Herbert
5. Lamar
6. Stroud
7. Tua
8. Lawrence

NFC top 8:

1. Dak
2. Purdy
3. Hurts
4. Goff
5. Stafford
6. Murray
7. Cousins
8. Mayfield

Anyone would take the top 8 from the AFC over anyone from the NFC.
I wouldn’t have Hurts that high.

I dont know. I think in the NFC Stafford's varied arm angle and off platform throws have demonstrated that he can spin it in a bunch of different ways just like Mahomes in the AFC. So he is prolly a step ahead of Dak in just the ability to throw accurately from a variety of ways.

But Dak's 2023 fundamental footwork improvement and mechanics have led to
Dak's 2023 accuracy as being head and shoulders above his previous 7 year body of work.
Yeah, and don't give me all the previous completion percentage crap stats from previous years. Anyone who has watched him this year can tell hes making tight window throws more regularly and those behind, high and in the dirt crap that showed their head quite often in the past, happens not so much this year.
My biggest complaint on him was/is consistent accuracy and decision making.

The consistency in his accuracy is extremely improved this year.
I'll hafta get back with ya on the decision making cuz I think that is a topic of its own.
He has not really turned the corner on knowing when to junk the called play and audible enough; and as regards forcing passes all QBs do that.
Really he has taken a big step this year; the only real problem I have with him is consistency but even there you can certainly say his highs are higher and even his lows are higher

Jordan Love and Baker Mayfield are top QBs in the NFC right now.

That's how weak the NFC QBs are right now.

Dak ia 2nd behind Purdy right now. Purdy had that one bad game, but otherwise plays lights out regardless of the competition or if it's on the road/home.

Jordan Love is having a better season then everyone on either of those lists, save for Dak and Lamar.

Love has 30 TD passes, 11 INTs, 4 rushing TDs, and a rating of 93. He has done this with the youngest, most inexperienced offense in the league. He should probably be be pretty high on that list,

You mean, is he the tallest midget?

Quarterbacking in the NFL is embarrassingly bad. Worst in the past 60 years.

Then Rodgers, Burrow, and Cousins get hurt, and it looks like the WAC conference.
If you know anything about football, you know Dak is not, in any way, playing like a "midget" this year.

Love has had a better season then Purdy thus far. Love has had the best season of any NFC QB statistically, with the only exception being Dak.

It's funny how Jalen Hurts is not in the Top 5 since when he has a Top 3 receiver.

You have to be a massive screw up to not crack the Top 5 with a Top 3 receiver.

How did he look against Buffalo, San Francisco, and Miami? You know, the teams that matter.

Philly is ranked 31st against the pass, and the Detroit secondary is awful.

We know the AFC..... Burrow, Allen, Jackson, Mahomes

But before the year started we heard..... "besides Jalen Hurts, Dak should run this conference." With one more game left to play, it seems that's exactly how it played out. He ran the entire NFC top teams besides the Niners.

I get the argument for Purdy, but the Ravens game really shined some light on things. I don't think he's as good against good teams as 49ers fans like to say. He struggled against the Browns too. Plus, I put Dak over Purdy because his arm is stronger, and he's more built to last long. Purdy is kinda soft, and I don't think he's gonna last long. One more injury and he's probably done. Plus that 92 yard TD pass to Lamb.
I'd have to go with Purdy until we prove differently. Purdy has a higher QBR. He also has a higher QB rating (113 to 104), higher completion percentage and more yards passing. Dak has one more passing TD and three fewer interceptions.

If I said no, would that make you sad? If I said yes, would that make you happy? I thought football was a team game. Would Dak succeed like he has been doing on the worst team, say the Bears? Same with Purdy, put him on a bad team you have a bad QB.

He beat Miami. Not his fault he had Chuma Edoga blocking for him, 7 points taken off the board by Leupke, and a defense that gave up 6 positive plays to Miami on the final drive to destroy our chance of getting the ball back.

If you believe the other players on both sides of the ball have zero input in winning and losing, so this comes down to the 9ers winning three in a row and that addresses the Dallas QB, my suggestion would be to ignore these types of threads.

Swap the QB's and tell me how the press would be heralding Dak as the MVP about mid season and Purdy wouldn't be in the discussion.

Just that one play ESPN held as the gold standard where Purdy rolled to his right and threw a TD while in open space, versus Dak shedding a safety and moving right to throw a 92 yard TD isn't comparable.

Dak is a growed up man and Purdy looks like a guy who couldn't make the cheerleading squad for Deion's Colorado team. Dak's physical traits overshadow Purdy completely. That's why he brushed off that linebacker.

Sheesh, the myopia on this subject with the tunnel vision about one player versus the entire team has leapt to new heights of ridiculousness.
