He at least throws the ball down field to Jefferson and Thielen!!!!!! Can you imagine if Jefferson was on the Cowboys and ran down field only to turn around and trot back consistently because Dak threw that 2 yard swing pass!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Jefferson and Adam probably running the wrong routes though, my bad!!!!!

Well this goes back to my main defense of Dak- it takes an entire team to consistently win games; and unless the quarterback is tossing three pick-sixes every game it's hardly ever just his fault. Dak is like 95 percent of starting quarterbacks in this regard. Cousins has been the same guy on two teams basically.

To illustrate my point, Matthew Stafford, Lions or Matthew Stafford, Rams? Detroit could never put together the coaching staff and roster around Stafford to help him get to the Super Bowl. I hope the Cowboys can do this for Dak someday.

Because worse QB's than him have rings. This can't be denied.
You are saying we havn't put a roster around Dak? Or am I misunderstanding that?

No. Mountaineer Cowboy enjoys hating on Dak. One thing if you doubt his abilities, but it's another thing to derive personal pleasure from hating Dak.

That said, no - not even close. Cousins - 7 years, 2 playoff appearances. 28.5% of the times. Dak - 5 years, 3 playoff appearances. 60% of the time. Dak is a tier above Cousins. Counting only when they played all or nearly all of the games.

What a dumb *** article. First off, Dak has 37 touchdowns not 27.

Secondly, the article acknowledges Dak wins 62 percent of his games and Cousins wins 50 percent of his games. They are not of the same caliber. A lazy comparison made by lazy people……

Now detect the NFC East teams from these stats and the losing teams we played and you get a realistic stat view of what Prescott talent base level is.....l

Once you realize Dak isn’t in the Elite category it becomes more evident he’s in the next best category which would include Cousins and about half of the leagues franchise QB’s which are good enough to build a team around.

Unfortunately there simply isn’t enough Elite QB’s to go around. And we’re at a disadvantage because our dysfunctional ownership over hyped and over pays our key talents. And undermines our HC with toxic culture.Far too many obstacles to overcome.

The Cowboys suk because of our ownership not our QB.

The Cowboys would be comparable to Washington had they followed their lead with Cousins and let Dak walk. In the three full seasons Cousins was the starter in Washington they had one losing season. In the 4 seasons since he’s left they haven’t had any winning seasons and have already wasted a first round pick on a QB that lasted only two seasons. Their record with Cousins as the full-time starter was 26-21. Their record since he left 24-41 and they’re still looking for a QB.

At least the draft gurus would be able to start early. We all know the draft is the real Super Bowl. If you didn't get the 1 pick, did you really have a good season?

If you have the number one overall pick you had a terrible season and it doesn’t guarantee you’re going to get any better. The Jags had the number one overall pick and were terrible again and will once again have the number one overall pick. The draft is a crapshoot. The Cowboys ended up with a better player at number 11 then they would’ve gotten in the top 10.

Man, dumb takes LOL. You can get away with dominating a bad division once or twice, but when Dak is winning 10/11 games per year on average for 6 years, he's clearly above the pack. Stats can inflate slightly based on a bad division, luck, the team around you, etc - but it can't inflate to the level where he's Top 5 in every QB category for more than just once... he's got 6 years worth of that now. The roster has completely turned over from when Dak started in 2016 and he's still winning about as many games (maybe slightly less) as he did when he started. He hasn't had any postseason success yet tho, that part is true.

Washington did the right thing in not paying Cousins. That's not the reason why they are still looking for a QB. They had the 2nd pick in the 2020 NFL draft. They chose a defensive lineman. Maybe they don't want a QB.

Yep. Even the great QBs have a lot of talent around them. They lend you an advantage, nothing more.

They would’ve been better off paying Cousins. Had they taken a QB in the 2020 draft they would have ended up with Tua. He wouldn’t have been the answer. Washington will continue wasting draft picks on QBs when they could’ve been building around Cousins.

It’s hard for me to say they made the right decision when all they did was get inferior quarterbacks to Cousins….
