When Dez is right..I love to watch him play.

But his last year and a half has been so disappointing.

And it seems as though other WRs have surpassed him for commercial endorsements as well as on the field accomplishments.

Evans for Tampa is getting alot of interest in the media as is Brown for Pitt and Julio Jones of Atlanta, AJ Green for Cincy and Odell Beckham for NY.

Dez is just not registering on the Reichter Scale of WRs.

Having arguements with DBs in social media in which guns are being referenced can't be helping him either.

Not reporting to team doctors and going AWOL becuz of an injury and distracting the entire organization for selfish reasons is more than just a blip but the team absorbed it for now.

So my question is..

where is this going for the team and Dez?

If he gets hurt again or continues to be a distraction..

what then?

Opinions welcome.

This is not a hate Dez thread.

Its a GM question.

Not vent.

Can we have a Dez Rant zone...we have a QB zone.
This will let these posters who can't get enough of Dez bashing to have their "safe space".

This team has so many other holes and question marks (even at WR....T Will).
Yet some people can't help but start calling Dez a distraction and implying we need to cut him or get rid of him somehow. It's just weird.

Dez wouldn't be getting the endorsements other players get even if he was performing the way he should. He's a dark, edgy person, his personality wouldn't register well in commercials. There are too many other players in the league that are more comfortable in front of a camera. Zeke will be the biggest endorsement magnet since Deion if this DV nonsense doesn't turn out to be something.

It's insane how much one week changes everything. A week ago, we were praising Dez and now he is the cancer causing our team to lose.

This is not a Dez bashing thread although you seem to want a reset.

Its about where does Dez come down with the other receivers and does positive publicity matter or not in perception.

Dez we have been told had 'changed'..

he was a better version coming into 2016 all off season.

I don't see it.

I'm hoping somebody has some insight.

Yours is noted.

Thanx.

I would love to see us grab another WR in the draft. I don't trust Dez like I would an Irvin. Could be hard for him cause Twill is JAG, but I just don't see him dominate like the top receivers...and his play seems to be getting spotty as time goes by. I would entertain trade offers in the offseason, for sure

Yeah Dez is a bonehead sometimes. Yes he is not a great route runner that's not his strength. Yes he creates distractions when he's a bonehead like being late to meetings and miss ing follow up treatment appt. I think he is being handled appropriately however. He is a beast in the red zone when used properly. Hes had some drops this year. What do you suggest we do trade him ? Romo made him look like a star. Dak will too hopefully someday soon.

If we had a dez rant zone, and all dak and romo threads went into the qb zone then we pretty much wouldn't have any threads here :muttley:

Playing with 5 different QBs in the last year and a half will do that to any receiver. Let it go.

So what's his excuse this season? The other WRs on the team are much better with Dak. So it's not that. Is he just a product of Romo because he's a one tricky pony i.e. the fade/jump pass? Seems like it. Dak has no mastered that yet. The other WRs can do much more than that hence why they are more effective in all parts of the field than Dez.

DEZ has moved himself into the Top 50 WR's in the NFL. He is becoming irrelevant, but then can Dak even throw a pass beyond 25 yds and complete it. As long g as we play Dink and Dak, the offense will never open up, again.
