I'm glad people have caught on to him. I would say 8 out of 10 fans are tired of his act.

When Dez is right..I love to watch him play.

But his last year and a half has been so disappointing.

And it seems as though other WRs have surpassed him for commercial endorsements as well as on the field accomplishments.

Evans for Tampa is getting alot of interest in the media as is Brown for Pitt and Julio Jones of Atlanta, AJ Green for Cincy and Odell Beckham for NY.

Dez is just not registering on the Reichter Scale of WRs.

Having arguements with DBs in social media in which guns are being referenced can't be helping him either.

Not reporting to team doctors and going AWOL becuz of an injury and distracting the entire organization for selfish reasons is more than just a blip but the team absorbed it for now.

So my question is..

where is this going for the team and Dez?

If he gets hurt again or continues to be a distraction..

what then?

Opinions welcome.

This is not a hate Dez thread.

Its a GM question.

Not vent.
No im not Dez, I'm just a fan of Dez.

Dez has 3 or 4 routes that he can do. And he needs to practice them constantly and in a routine to stay proficient. Dez is the kind of player than needs to practice each and every day that he can.

He has the tools to do more. Just not the mind.

I've always believed that if Dez could master the slant, he would be a much larger asset to the Cowboys than he is today.

But..........not seeing it. Still. He is what he is. A very good possession receiver that has to be respected by DCs due to his deep threat ability.

But never going to be Jerry Rice. Not even close.

I wonder how good Dez would be playing with Joe Montana and Steve Young. Just wondering.

https://www.profootballfocus.com/route-breakdown-go-routes/

In 2014, Dez and T Williams were the top 3 WRs running go routes. Our Z WR was in the top 3. So arguing Dez can't run a variety of routes while T Will is running the same routes in volume doesn't seem to be justifiable.

I don't think our offense is very creative. I'm not sure things changed this year, but it's highly possible that Dez's lack of production is simply because Dak is throwing against the WR who is covered by the best CB and Dak doesn't have the arm yet.

In fact look at this, regarding Escobar.

Another interesting note about the Cowboys use of go routes is how they used tight end Gavin Escobar. With 64 go routes run, that made up 44.4% of his total, the third highest percentage in the league, and most for a tight end.

Sure you did.

What about the others that do the same.

If your spell check goes to "rediculous", it is on you.
Are you one of the less liked members? Lol. Nice to meet you. I was doing my fantasy team to be exact and watching the game/ eating. Haha. Spell check police. I'll make sure it doesn't happen again "offesor" ;)

No, hes just not as good as those other guys. On any given night he can be the best player on the field or a zero. His inconsistency is what seperates him into a lower tier.
