I'm not worried about FA like this until the end of the season.

He and Beasley are both FA I believe along with Durant and Carter and a couple others. Worry about it when it's actually time to worry about it.

Harris will be fine. Huge player for us in so many ways.

Couldn't agree more. He's had a couple bad games. He needs to be more focused. But he's one of the best return men in the game. He gets some slack from me.

Either that or his price to resign him is dropping. He's been doing some weird stuff the last few games.

I have faith that Harris will turn things around. He has had a couple of rough games but I have full confidence Harris will get this going once again.

If he does it again the other players are going to expect Garrett to do something,,, especially if it costs them the game. This team has expectations now and a fumble-bug who hasn't found the endzone yet isn't tolerable.

thats just silly. he is still 7th in kick retuns in the entire league and would be in the top 10 in punt returns if not for all the penalties. he has two turnovers. he has to clean that up but he is playing no different than last year. we are getting more penalties on returns this year though.
i think he will be gone after the season and when he is gone he is going to be seriously missed. he is a force on coverage, a great blocker and one of the top return guys in the nfl.
but he wont be gone over his play, he will be gone becuae some team is goimg to give him starter type money because they see the playmaking ability, tough hardnosed approach he as and they will want that on their team

Not sure how I am silly. The guy can be replaced rather easily. I too like his play-making ability but he is just another cog in the wheel. I like his hustle on ST's and his ability to get a good return but there are several players out there just like him. He is now pretty much non-existent on offense and he isn't good enough to sign to a nice sized contract for ST's only IMO.

Like I said, I don't care if he stays or goes, he is not the difference maker and his absence would be filled immediately.

you know ive noticed that too. harris is the type of player i worry about having medical issues 30-40 years from now. he plays so hard and fearless, he's taken some massive hits over the years. i'm wondering if his body is letting him down now.

this. hope he's not flabby and sick yet.

His numbers this year if they continue will certainly make it easier to resign him for cheap, which is all he'd be worth anyway. Last year's performance gave him some leverage that he's been definitely been losing this year.

Obviously, though, we're better off this year if he turns things around.

The guy has 4 freaking fumbles this year. I wouldn't have put him back there after he muffed the punt against Seattle.

For a guy who touches the ball 5 times a game to have 4 fumbles in a season is pretty terrible. To do that in 6 games is abysmal.

Harris should be returning kickoffs, but not punts... Beasley would be fine as a PR, not great, but at least he would catch the ball... I also would like to see Dez returning a few punts this year... There's no reason why he shouldn't, he's not that fragile, and he's really really good at it! If we make the playoffs, Dez could be a real weapon as a PR... Not to return all punts, but when that situation comes up in a game where you need a good punt return, or maybe the team is flat and needs a spark, it's nice to at least have the option of turning to an elite talent... Dez has the talent to do it, but you have to use him once in a while... Ideally a total 5-6 punt-returns for Dez in the regular season, and situationally if we make the playoffs...

As for Harris, I'm happy with him everywhere else, just not as a PR... He's blocking well, has performed adequately as a WR, and has made some nice tackles on ST... That said, he's certainly not playing his way into any sort of big contract...

We, IMO, would be stupid to run Harris out of town. He's one of our most versatile players. He does a lot of things for us and usually, he does them pretty well IMO. He had a bad game. If that trend were to continue, then yeah but I don't think he's a bad player. He's no way more good then bad IMO.

I love Harris he really fudged last game but he goes 100% 100% of the time. He's getting no blocking on his kick returns

Harris has 2 TD as a punt returner. He has had a couple of rough games no need to give up on him that quickly.

I love Harris too, he's one of those unsung guys that every good team needs... That said, we cant keep everybody... Harris will likely go on to be a very productive #3 WR and KR for the right team, but this is what happens... If you're drafting good, then you're going to have a guys emerge and command a bigger contract, and you wont be able to pay them all, but again if you're drafting good, then losing that player wont hurt so much, because he wasn't even top-2 on the team at his position... Harris will be a Commander next year...

Not just punts, but notice on kick-returns, he often muffs the catch, but it doesn't really matter because he was 5-10 yards deep in his own endzone and the defenders are still a few seconds away, no big deal, easy touch-back... But doing that on punts, will surely lead to disaster, as we've seen... He's well above average at the skill of returning a kick/punt once the ball is securely in his hands, but he is below average at the skill of catching a ball that has been punted or kicked... Use him on kickoffs where his deficiencies will be mostly negated and his strengths will be accentuated... But I'd rather have Beasley as a PR because catching the ball is half the battle, and I have more faith in him to not make those mistakes...

Harris has never returned a kickoff for a TD he has however ranked around the top in PR returning 2 for TD and maintaining a very good avg. He has had a couple of rough games and I'm sure the coaches will let him work his way through it. They know how good he is.

I like Harris too; he is a good role player. But we will not overpay for him. But at the same time, I don't think he is looking to leave and I don't expect other teams to overpay for him and steal him away. I think he will be back at a modest contract and will still be a valuable player on the team.

I agree, I don't think Dallas will have to overpay to be able to keep him.
