Is ESPN on the verge of cutting ties with NFL analyst Michael Irvin?
One industry source believes the decision has already been made, and that some at the network view the outspoken Irvin as a ticking time bomb, ready to explode into a public-relations nightmare.
ESPN did not confirm or deny the report, but issued a statement, saying: "We are currently in the process of discussing studio assignments for next season."
There is speculation that newly retired Bill Parcells could end up at the network, but there is no indication that a deal is imminent.

Irvin and Tuna with man boobs would be a lethal pairing, they'd prolly fight over T.O. all the time.

:laugh2:

Man I am all for this. Irvin, ditka and Young have ruined that show.

I really cant take all their nonsense, any of the three.

Take those guys off the set and jaworski and tom jackson are very good.

Irvin and ditka have created this awful element to that show, screaming and being homers.....Its like watching a contest of who will root for thier former team more...

its awful.

I would enjoy that show if they had a lineup like Berman, jaworski, tom jackson and maybe one more....parcells would be great..
I much rather listen to Irvin then horseface Parcells

I have a great idea

get a football analysis show with

Michael Irvin
Darren Woodson
Deion Sanders
Nate Newton

now that would make me very happy and I would definitely watch it...

Just don't include Emmitt Smith in your group! I would hate to hear him say how much he enjoys being in the "boof" with the rest of those guys...

;)

Keep Jackson, Irvin doesn't bother me but I'm bias, Staubach would be a nice addition if he'd step away from real estate, Rocket Ismail is a funny man and would rock the casbah, Darren Woodson is polite and analytical.

Is this lineup Cowboy heavy enough? No? Ok Jackson can go and Randy White or Drew Pearson can replace him.

Sunday Countdown featuring: Roger Staubach, Drew Pearson, Michael Irvin, Rocket Ismail, Darren Woodson, Randy White.

Look for lots of receiver higlights with this group.

Along with a new segment called "Woody's Wood" in reference to the greatest hits of the week.

I often get the sense that Irvin and Young just don't like each other and there always seems to be this underlying tension; with Irvin having the rings and Young haveing the HOF. Now that Irvin got in, it must be eating away at Young.

Young does have a ring. And I don't think that anything Irvin does keeps Young awake at night.

It's kinda silly to say that Young would let this post-NFLer bother him in the least.

Young has an actual profession to fall upon and Irvin has . . . shiny suits.
Young is articulate and Irvin is a clown.
EAch lives in a different world. Irvin is just an inch away from a life of depravity. Young goes on his way in a dignified manner.

If you are gonna worship a present or former Cowboys, there are plenty of others who have not succumbed to cheap motels, and strippers and crack pipes and residue under the bed and countless trips through the judicial system.
Ellis, Smith, Aikman, Nguyen . . . a flood of names comes to mind.

Irvin was a great player. Lousy, classless human being.

This lame craps is all the more reason for me to watch NFLN exclusively during football season. BSPN sucks. Mike was good for that show...

I think there's an opening to be the color guy for the Dallas Cowboys radio broadcasts with Charlie Waters "retiring"... seems like a great fit for Irvin.

I would love to see Irvin as the radio color guy. Expect him to go to the NFL Channel though. Mark this....

OK Mike, time to come home and work with your old buddy Garrett and teach our young WR's how to train and become Pro-Bowl recievers.

WR's coach....
