Is Flozell ever going to be the same??

ACL surgeries are so common now, when was the last time you heard of a guy who didn't come back? A few years ago microfracture guys had trouble coming back, but now that is a thing of the past.

i dont think anyone has doubt that he will be back. we all know he will be back next year, but he is also likely to never be the same and lose some speed.

Which might be a problem if speed was a weapon that Flozell utilized to his advantage.

I think drafting a LT,a G and a C would be a very wise move along with a WR and a late first day/early 2nd day QB.

yeah wouldn't want flo's 40 time to go from 7.3 to 7.9.

Speed is not the issue here, IMO. Lateral movement is the issue. Flozell, IMO, has never done well against speed. However, he has relied on strength and wing span to get his hands on guys. If his lateral movenment suffers, then he is going to have a problem. I don't think there's any question.

so are you saying that all flozell has to do is stand still and put his hands out? Youre telling me footwork and quickness isnt important to a LT????

Do you do feel the same compulsion when you see a person with a cute nose? :D

Being a little melodramatic, aren't we? Of course he doesn't have to stand still. He also has never been someone who has gotten by more on strength and wingspan than footspeed. Its not uncommon. Jumbo Elliot played LT at a Pro Bowl level for Parcells for a decade with slow feet and shoddy knees.

This isn't 1979 anymore. ACL tears don't end careers. Many players come back faster than before the injury. When Flozell comes back, he'll have the same exact strengths and weaknesses as before, for better or worse.
