You mean like when the O went down and scored for the lead and the defense let the Brocons go down and score was all the o's fault :lmao2:

I forgot even with how bad the offense played against the Giants (turn over on offense and special teams)

They went into score towards the end of the game against the Giants and Wade and his defense went into their cover 2 soft shell and let the Giants move down the filed without any issues and kick the game winning field goal

And if the D could have sopped Jason ****ing Cambell in the second half, not given up 121 yards to Portis and 145 receiving yars to Moss and not had 12 men on the field in a crucial play on 3rd down with the game on the line, we might have been 10 and 6. If the D hadn't folded twice in the final 3 plus minutes in Baltimore, we might have been 11 and 5. If the D didn't completely get embarrassed by the lowly Rams, we might have been 12 and 4.
If the D hadn't given up 17 consective points to the Cardinals in the second half, giving back-up WR Steve Breaston 102 receiving yards and a TD or letting Warner go 22 of 30, we might have been 13 and 3. What's your point?

And then Wade took over the defense from Brian Stewart.... You remember, that is the reason why Stewart was ultimately demoted mid-wat thought the season and fired at the end of the season...

My issue with Garrett is that he abandons the run to soon and i don't think he uses his receivers to their strengths. An OC like Norv Turner wold use williams and Austin more effectively.

The test of time? 2 seasons running the show on a sometimes explosive but very inconsistent offense, 1 season with Tony Sporano holding his hand, 1 year as a QB coach in Miami, and one year as an untitled offensive assistant in Miami. That isn't exactly a long, illustrious resume'.
Consistent top 5 offense will get you everywhere.

you fail .....stare at this for a while and try again.........only problem with this offense is he didnt run when you wanted him too.......

The problem was he ran when the opposing defense wanted him to.

is that why they are 2nd in the league with 5.1 per carry as a team...because the other team wanted them to?

Never really understand why people continue to run to NFL.com and throwout all these gaudy stats about where we rank on Defense and Offense.

It is best to just watch the game and this will give you a true sense of how good we are on both sides of the ball.

Personally, I have always felt that the problem in Dallas was Wade Phillips, Terrell Owens and Jason Garrett and not necessarily in that order.

However, I believe Jerry Jones the Owner is a bigger problem then anyone because of the atmosphere, even though his intention are good, that exists.

Michael Irvin and Nate Newton say it all the time on their show, the Cowboys don't seem to have anybody on the roster that cracks the whip. Like them, I believe it is okay for Wade Phillips to be a "player's coach" but it wont work unless you have someone else of equal stature to play the "bad cop".

Even though I dislike the Coaching Staff, the Cowboys are talented enough that they will be in every single game and will contend for a Playoff Spot throughout the entire season.

Garrett shouldn't get credit for our offensive firepower.

Romo and Owens were productive well before Garrett came along.

The only surprising element is that we still have no consistent running game.

I would say if a person wanted to put blame in some kind of "order" It has to start at the top..The very top. Start with Jerry Jones. While Jones has done wonderful things for the Cowboys...he also hinders them. He's owner..general manager ...and he might as well be the head coach too.

He won't let a head coach take total control of the team...which is why we have a coach like Wade. He is a yes sir man. I don't think he is a terrible coach. But Jerry runs him and we all know it.

Wade doesn't get in the other coaches rear ends either...He is the head coach if Jason Garrett's offense is not up too par then Wade should be on him to fix it.

Maybe Jerry should just make himself head coach and cut out the middle man all together....then he can be down on the side lines running the other coaches and players.

A couple of things. First, statistically speaking, the offense is ranked higher than our defense. Second, our draft board has been defense heavy for years and the offense has been mostly neglected with the exception of Felix and Roy Williams (via trade). I don't know how you can hold the offense to such a standard because they have "more than enough weapons to be effective" yet feel that our defense has played well when, statistically, they're inferior. And lastly, Wade's the HC. If you feel Garrett's not passing enough, it's up to Wade to whisper in his ear on game day. That's part of Wade's job and he should be able to identify these shortcomings and make the necessary adjustment after 30 years of NFL experience. It's not enough for Wade to say we need to get so and so more touches during his press conferences; he's got to go out and take command of his team and the sideline on game day. Only in Dallas do we blame everyone else or hold someone more accountable than the HC.

Tony the tiger greaaattt post man. Our offense has carried us for 3 years. It's only after a gane when the defense FINALLY plays up to snuff do the Wade lovers start posting bull**** stats to bolster their agenda. The only stat that matters, zero playoff wins. Here's hoping they force some turnovers and tighten up that 2 minute defense - our offense can't keep being forced to bail them out each week.

My only thing is that Wade has had less to work with. Ware, Jay Retliff, Bradie James and newman honeslty have been the stars on Defense. And Newman has been injured for part of that time. Not to mention the liabilities on Defense We've had over the years. Roy Williams, Reeves, Killa Kieth, Henry just to name a few.

On the other hand you look at the Offense and you have big talented players left and right. You can throw those stupid stats all you want, but If you have watched the games this year. We dont use our running backs enough. We have to many damn good players to have these mental breakdowns on offense. Garrett hasnt impressed me at all this season and has had more to work with then Wades Defense.
