Right, because nobody on the Cowboys can make any plays.

But the same kind of thing happens when the Eagles play Tampa Bay, for example, and everyone is screaming that Jeremy Maclin is a "playmaker!!"

But when it's the Cowboys, it's only because of busted coverage, or the other team's defense sucks.

I guess thats why we put up 31 on the Giants too - nobody was making plays, they just sucked that much.

That Giants game was a big one.Let me ask you this.What was the main reason we lost?

Barber - 35 in the 1st half, 23 in the 2nd
Choice - 17 in the 1st, 27 in the 2nd
Jones - 13 in the 1st, 8 in the 2nd
Romo - 5 in the 1st, 5 in the 2nd
Crayton - 2 in the 1st, 1 in the 2nd

72 carries in the 1st halves of games, 64 in the 2nd. In other words, a 53% to 47% split.

Interestingly, Romo has 90 passing attempts in the 1st halves of games, and 75 in the second. So we actually pass the ball MORE in the first half, percentage wise than in the second... 55.5% of the plays in the first half are passes, compared to 54% of the plays in the second.

Doesn't seem to me that he "doesn't like running" any less in the second half than he does in the first half.

3.9 yrds per carry isn't that bad, and the numbers don't allways tell the whole story, barber was grinding well, getting the tough yards, tiring out the defense, and importantly.. running clock.. why would we stop doing that in a game we were ahead in, until 6 minutes were left?

I can identify two occasions where Dallas vomited six points into Giants hands deep in Cowboy territory after two fluke plays caused by poor ball management, which had nothing to do with the three points surrendered by our defense at the conclusion of the game. I'm interested in knowing what you considered were actual causes or reasons for the two-point loss?

He's probably holding the playbook back, but not on purpose.

He may be able to design them good, but when it comes to the game, I think his inexperience as a gamecaller results in him relying on the exact same plays over and over again.

Are you talking about one specific game, or are you talking about a trend? If it's just one game you're talking about, then you should probably not say that Garrett "doesn't run the ball" in the 2nd half or in crunch time, whatever you stated. Because in that case, yes the numbers tell the story -- they tell the story that you're wrong.

Do you expect us to believe you and your foggy recollection over the actual stats?

For the amount of hype that the two tight end formation received during camp as compared to the results it's gotten, do you think JG is waiting for the Eagles game (or even later) to show some stuff?

What we know: The running game is exceptional

What hasn't happened:

All the mismatches it was supposed to provide in the passing game.
The explosion of Martellus Bennett.

Regardless of his play calling, Garrett is clever. If he is holding back for late season surprises, he's playing a dangerous game because it might not matter.

Again, #2 offense in the league!

The only one that I can recall that was a designed play was a qb draw at the goal line,I believe that was in the Giants game.

Most weren't, but at least one was a designed running play. Romo ran the quarterback draw for a touchdown against the Giants.
