Ehhh I dont like him.
Who is the tool box that said the following?
-Dalton would perform better in our offense than Dak
-Dalton would lead us to the playoffs
-Beatherd and Kayaa will be better pros than Mahomes
-CB is NOT one of the 4 prime positions in football but safety is
-Rouss the DE is a skinny DE that im not sure can rush the passer, but lets draft him and move him to DT?
That would be you genius!!!
If Im a tool box than you are a box or rocks. This is a bozo thread in a long line of bozo threads started by you. At least you changed your tune from wanting to take him with the 10th pick to getting value in the 2nd.
Your not seeing what I’m seeing then. First of all Phillips is gone in the top 20. Rousseau looks like a David Irving clone. Can rush from the outside can rush from the inside. Great movement forget the combine numbers he can move and impact the game much like Irving did. Hopefully his head is on better and we can get a steal if he even makes it to 44. I could see a team in the late first taking him because he has so much value as a pass rusher. Also holds up very well against the run.Prefer Phillips who possess far better pass rush moves. Better floor and just as high ceiling IMO.
Rousseau at 2nd maybe and definitely in the 3rd. He just scares me. Looks like a unrefined Randy Gregory to me. Irving was more powerful and dropped due to character issues which was true.

He is a guy that is overly nit picked here. He isnt an every down RDE, but he is a guy that can be rushed from alot of different gaps on the DL. Interior is going to be where he makes him money with Dallas if we draft him. Could also be Lawrence's long term replacement at LDE. I think his ceiling is Calais Campbell, and he could be that disruptive. IMO if he is there at 44, he is a no brainer. He is also a good player to target in a move upHe's about 6'7 270 and it's a skinny 270.
He's not agile and doesn't bend well but he's fast, has power, and a high motor.
He's built for edge but i'm wondering if he can be bulked up and be a good inside rusher for us.
Any thoughts?
Yawn...
Ruining a good thread with your old trash. You have to be a special type of weirdo to follow me around and bring this to every discussion I’m in.
Other than being raw, his biggest weakness is lack of bend. Depending on what he weighs in 2 years, he could either be an every down LDE or 3T. It be kind of a waste though, you want to move him aroundI think he just doesn't have a position but can play everywhere.
If he's good at rushing the passer then he is a steal after the 1st round.

He doesnt really have an aresnal right now as a pass rusher. Adding those moves to his game can change alot of thing. People dont like him because he is raw, but he was incredibly productive without those moves. Fans like high floor, low ceiling guys too muchI'm with you on all of that but his speed is all straightline which is why i'm asking about him as a 3 tech.
But heck maybe he can pull it off on the edge.
Projecting this guy is tough.
If he can get to the QB then it really doesn't matter where he lines up or how agile he is. Just sack the QB.
I don't think so Catch. That kid is much more talented, off the edge, then is Irving.

My biggest concern with Rousseau is, like others who sat out, 2021 could be a real adjustment year. More than most rookies. But its not like no one has ever missed a season before. And Im not drafting a guy just for 2021So true.
I'd give this more likes if I could.
15.5 sacks and 19.5 TFL's in 2019 with no real pass rushing moves. That's a big statement.
If he is anything close to Irving then you take him and don't look back if he's available at 44 and should realistically go in round 1 if he is close to David Irving.

He beat college OT's, which only matters for certain prospects and not othersYeah, but he accidentally lucked into those sacks so they don’t really count.

Rousseau is on my list of guys I would target in a trade down in the first. Or a trade up in the 2nd. If he is there at 44 Im sprinting to the podium. Media guys are on crack if they think he is falling deep into the 2nd
I think enough teams kick DE's inside to rush that he will hold onto value despite not having a clear cut postion at this point. Long term I think he is somewhere between 285 and 295 poundsI could see him falling because teams just won't know where to put him.
If he can't get the edge as a DE then you have to then hope he can get to the QB as a 3 tech and I don't see a 6'7 270 lb defensive tackle being on the field unless it's 3rd down and hes got his ear pinned back,
