i said ALMOST
i dont care about the stupid division - this team does not look like a contender.

Better to aim too high, and miss your goal, than aim too low, and obtain it. Division win = playoff shot. You take your chances there, even if the cards are stacked against you.

Paea and Carroll gone.
With Thornton already gone a few weeks ago, so who is left to cut?
Sounds like the FO may be cleaning house or even cutting bait on the season.

Carroll/Paea probably to be replaced by young cheap players though it is possible a vet LB would be picked up if they are not cutting bait yet.
So much for the cheap FA strategy because McClay can work magic.
Unfortunately, FO's hubris got out of control.
So we have 2015 repeating itself.
Lets hope there is some magic left in McClay combing practice squads.

1) Hopefully TSmith's back will be figured out.
Whether he needs surgery or just rest, we shall see.

2) Also lets give the Chido's hamstring enough time to recover instead of forcing it every 3 weeks.

3) If nothing else, lets play the young players and hopefully a few will be players.
So that means Lewis, Chido when healthy, Woods and may be White.

4) On the WR side, let Brice, Brown and Switzer play, and trade TWill if we can.

5) That probably means trading DLaw before the deadline - never trusted his back despite the early performance.

The season is almost shot, so let's see some good come out of it.
Without getting into the definition of tanking, we will likely get a top-10 and perhaps a top-5 pick if we tried hard - could mean 2 defensive playmakers next year.

Blimey! We go back a long way WP. Way back when I was scouting for
Howard College and you were stealing prospects from Florida A&M and driving them north for our tryouts. Ah, yes, Waldo, those were the days until the pinheads at NCAA got the wind up....
But though the title raised me hopes, the post deflated me.
You see, Carroll and Paea are nothings. They can be gone and we are still floundering on defense.
Bloke, I thought bigger names who aren't producing were in the works.
But even our defensive stars are middling sorts. Who are the biggest names in our defense?
Lee who is always hurt and rehabbing? Irving? Taco (heh) ? D Law is a monster in the making, but after him, his teammates are midgets. OK, Jaylon is showing promise. Isn't he the team leader in tackles? Scandrick? Ha! What a fool. But still wise enough to taker Sir Jerry's money for doing nothing.
So with the exception of 4 or 5 players, we could unload the rest and not miss a beat in talent and production.
Cleaning house, good lad, should involve a front loader and not a broom.

hopefully rod is gone after the season after he serves the only useful role he can now serve - lose a few more games than should have happened given the offense.

Yeah because this all Rods fault! Not cheapskate Stephen who hamstrung him again with crap and rooks! If anything Rod deserves an award for making chicken salad out of chicken poop. JG is the real moron behind this operation.

nope. The chiefs game will be all chiefs fans, there will be a ton of eagles fans here and thanksgiving is always a tradition for people who come to one game a year even in the awful years. Washington fans travel here when they are winning.

after last season I was going to sell my psl but my wife talked me out of it saying I would miss it to much. I think after this weeks events I may be doing that for sure this time. I may even sell my tickets for the rest of the season. I hung on because I wanted to see witten finish out his career and see every game he played. Right now I still want to do that but this week changed some things for me.

and the stadium will never be empty because that is how the owners have rigged the ticket system. We have to buy psl's for our seats. Until you sell your PSL you get billed for the tickets and they must be paid for by may 1st. So the idea of an empty stadium is never going to happen by design.
sell, sell, sell. we deserved better as fans coming off of last season. plus, they are already planning a takeover of the stadium on ***NOT-ALLOWED***. while you're stewing in your seat surrounded by red, jerry will be looking down from his perch counting all the $$$ from the new fans visiting his playpen.

i know it is deflating but the year is massively deflating.
almost everything i hope will not happen happened other than injuries (knock on wood).
we need a couple difference makers in the D so hope those come in the draft.
i am really scared of dlaw's back.
if we bust this year, take ur loader and unload the deadweight in the D and the coaching staff.

House cleaning should start with all our defensive coaches and SL...

I was surprised when I read Lett was the defensive line coach...he was not the sharpest player but somehow the FO thought he was sharp enough to be a coach...good god this team makes so many head scratching decisions...

i dont think those are jerrah type players
Understood.

But both those guys were supposed to start for us.

It's just more erosion at positions we can't recover from.

Not to mention who might have been signed instead of these two.

It's a flush now.
