Is it already written? Cowboys lose a fifth?

Seattle is coming in on a high (Calm down potheads). They roughed up a divisional opponent, albeit a reeling Niners team, but it was impressive on both sides of the ball. Now their sites are set on yet another reeling team with perhaps some revenge on their minds considering what we did to them last year in their unbeatable house.

So is it already written for a team that can't even get off the tarmac without their two leaders, Romo and Dez? Or does this running game with DMac rising from the ashes like a Phoenix finally take flight, along with a slowly improving defense say, "Enough is enough!" and take back our pride, confidence, and execution that has been MIA since losing our two beloved All-Pros.

One way or another, we'll find out if this team has any resolve. Our backs are firmly against the wall and the chips are stacked against us.

Feel free to make your predictions and vent.

So it is written, so it shall pass.

Seriously, though, I think this is a bad match up for our offense, Cassell particularly. They have an opportunistic defense and we have a turnover prone offense. The one saving grace is that Seattle's offensive line is in shambles and the teams likes to give games away like ours. So, who knows? I'm hopeful but not overly confident in a positive outcome.

Nothing is written in the NFL. Any Given Sunday. Hopefully this Sunday is that given one.

Is Bennett playing? Without him that defense really isn't the same. They've also been eaten alive by tight ends this season. I wish I trusted the coaches to find a way to get Escobar the ball down the field...

I think the game will come down to pressure on Wilson, if he can get out of the pocket easy and grab a few first downs it will be a long day.

I look for a fight to the finish and the game could honestly go either way. The only thing that scares me is Cassel against their Defense, if we can keep our turnovers at 0 I like our chances.

I cant see the bus driving gee-hadist outrunning our DEs at least on a consistent basis. I hope we put him on the turf many times over.

Seattle is a desperate team right now, just about as desperate as the Cowboys are, I don't think this game ends well. Teams have a knack for getting bounce back wins against this team this year and I don't see that stopping on Sunday.

Didn't Seattle win last week? So I am not sure beating us is a bounce back win.

17-13 Dallas with Dez. 20-10 Sea without.

I watched that Sea-SF game, i don't know if "impressive on both sides of the ball" were what i'd call it

Seattle's defense is once again, great. It's funny how in the era of the passing offense, so many teams in the NFC West have been fueled primarily by their defense.

But their offense is ugly. And they simply cannot protect Russel Wilson. I think he was sacked 6 times in that game, hit countless others, and threw a couple of picks. They ran the ball well, surprisingly, and Wilson had some good throws which i'm not sure is a testament of Lynch's capabilities or the result of a San Fran defense losing the most starting caliber players in one offseason that I can recall in recent memory.

This is absolutely a winnable game, if Dez is playing. If not, we may not get 200 yards of total offense.

If our defense can put together the same performance we put together against NYG, and the first half of the Pats game, we'll be in this game until the end. The Giants, even with all their troubles, are still heads and above Seattle's passing game. We'll get pressure on Wilson, a lot of it. Worst case scenario, we somehow come up with another goose egg for turnovers. Best case, our pressure causes a few mistakes and we come up with a few. I'm hoping for the latter, and it's been a bizarre ride, but even if we end this game +1 in TO differential, I think we win.

We simply can't turn the ball over. With those safeties, I'm putting together a gameplan for Cassel that basically avoids anything in the middle of the field past 10 yards, as that seems to be a weakness of his. Their whole defense is pretty good, but they can be run on, and they aren't particularly fast at LB. If we can establish an identity up front, like we did against the Giants (who i think were actually one of the highest ranked run defenses in the NFL up to our game), it'll do wonders for the passing game. Easier said than done obviously.

We just can't turn the ball over, we need to force mistakes, and any points we can put on the board at all is significant. This game is going to be a defensive battle. If we keep the TO differential even, at worst, I think we win this game. We absolutely have to stop the run game and make Wilson beat us while driving the length of the field, and getting hit.

It's going to be a battle, but it can be done. And nothing would start the perfect run in an unexpected season than a Dez comeback and home win against the former NFC Champs.

My hope is that Cassell will improve significantly after having played a full game and that Dez will return and be a difference maker. Oh yea, and if we can get Garrett to stop clapping, we might win in a blowout...:)

SF is awful. The way they lost those two games to Cincy and Carolina is probably still stinging that team.

If we cant pass the ball against the Giants with over 200 yards rushing, how are we going to do it against the Seahawks? The best D in the NFL.

The only hope is to sack Wilson 12 times and get a few TDs on D.

the defense 100% needs to force at least 2 turnovers in this one. at least. give the offense more opportunities at a short field. we should be able to get to Wilson (been sacked the most this year, IIRC). NEED to force some fumbles, and run well on offense. only shot.
