Playing at a higher level then Demarcus Ware. Now dont get all mad about this either it's just my opinion on this Game.

Ellis looked like He was always putting pressure. Ware seemed to me like He was dancing around way to much and not really doing anything. Ellis was much more effective. Thank god Ellis is still here:starspin

I thought Ware terrorized McNabb all night and finally bagged him at the end.

Ellis didn't seemed to create as many problems, but he sacked McNabb twice.

But, I haven't rewatched the game yet, so my impressions might be off a little.

He def had more of an impact on the game. That might be contributed to the way Westbrook stayed in and chipped Ware on alot of downs, but nonetheless Ellis for sure had a bigger impact on the game.

Those were my initial impressions as well.

Simple case of someone seeing something, but not knowing what they're looking at.

Who do you think drew more attention, Ellis or Ware? I hope you'd say Ware.

And in Ware drawing more attention, what does that do for Ellis? I hope you'd say it gave him more opportunities to make plays.

C'mon, it's not that hard to figure out.

Pretty much it, and Ware draws more attention from the offense then Ellis so it opens things up for Ellis a bit.

But I do wish Ware had "Finished" better on a couple of them. He could have had 3 sacks this game.

He probably would have had another if Runyan hadn't gotten beaten so badly on the other side of the line that he was rolling on the ground behind McNabb and right into Ware, who had blown past Tra Thomas.

I know Ware is a beast and our best defensive player IMO. Just didnt see all that much from Him this game. Alot of dancing at the line and not advancing. maybe it was planned that way I'm not a coach.

Rewatch the game. He was all over the place. No player does "something" every play.

Ware was pretty good this game other than a couple of missed sacks (McNabb evading or breaking out of it).

Ware has to really learn how to use his hands. On one play I saw Ellis drive Runyan back, then simply grabbed him and threw him to the side which left a direct line to McNabb.

The difference being Ware might drive the tackle back, but he hasn't learned how to use his hands yet so more likely the tackle will just "ride" him out.

Not a knock on Ware, just an example of Ellis being the technician he is, as someone mentioned above.

Ware wasn't causing much havoc in the first half. He needs to start doing other pass rush moves

No, it isn't. Ware was dominated most of the game, while Ellis not only got 2 sacks, but was held constantly by Runyan.

Props to Ellis. Ware's the better player, but he wasn't last night.

Completely clueless.

"Ware was dominated most of the game".

Since you obviously will never offer anything even remotely intelligent when it comes to football... welcome to my ignore list.

When you're hitting Ware with a back and a TE before he even gets to engage the offensive tackle, he's gonna have a rough game. He still made his presence felt, he just didn't finish. I've never seen anyone treat any pass rusher like Philly treated Ware last night. They were terrified of him.

That said, Ellis was clutch. Getting Spencer early reps turned out to be a great move.
