Is it ok to start talking about it?

Why can't we win a Super Bowl? I hope this is the mentality in the locker room, and I believe it is.

Trust me, this is one of those "what the fans think and feel doesn't mean S to the players". Individually they may be thinking different things in the back of their minds, but with the MK Ultra style repetition and brainwashing from Garrett with "day by day" looks to have worked pretty well with this bunch. Jesus, looking back now, how stupid was signing Greg Hardy? It's pretty clear that he was at T.O.'s level in terms of being divisive. This bunch is just so much different than years past.

I might be able to make a case this team wins out until the Vikings.
The vike/eag game is going to be very interesting. I'm on record thinking the eags beat the vikes this weekend. Either way, if we beat the eags next week coming back off our bye, this DC team can roll all they way to Thurs night against the vikes and just might whip them too. Lately they just don't seem to know how to lose.

Now let me set something straight ........ I am excited about the team and think we have a lot of potential .......... next year.

I do not think we can win in the playoffs without a pass rusher ....... but I also think people have the right to be excited and think we could go all the way if they want to be.

This is very true, but can Seattle and Minnesota win without an offensive line? Can Atlanta win without great defense and a QB prone to tighten up? Can Green Bay win with that mess? Arizona, and whatever they are? Can Carolina get their stuff together from 1-5?

Everybody is flawed.

The more I look at that game, the more I think Philly wins.

Neither team protects the QB, and both are good at pressuring the QB.

The score might be 5-4.

My response only deals with this year. IF we can continue on the path we are on, 5-1 and could be 10-2, I am all in favor of bringing Ro Mac back THIS YEAR (addresses your MLB), and Gregory back game 15 (hopefully addresses your edge rusher). Hopefully by playoffs, assuming we make it, they both will be hitting their strides.
In my opinion, there's a better shot that Jaylon Smith heals than there is of RoMac coming back. Smith has a slight chance, but from all the words coming out of Dallas, the only reason we have not cut RoMac is so we can recoup money. If we cut him now, we lose it. In meantime, he's not getting paid and not taking up a roster spot, so there's no downside. I don't know the specific rule or how much we will get back, but I believe it's a significant amount. The kicker was when they opened the Star in Frisco with a locker for Gregory and none for RoMac.

That said, even as we stand now, we are in the conversation for the SB. Some of what we are doing on defense is smoke and mirrors and could bite us at the wrong times, but every team in the league has that kind of problem one way or another. In the NFC, we have as good of a chance as anyone, and better shot than most.

Come playoff time, there is only one team that worries me......Atlanta. Not because they are some powerhouse or something, but because of match-ups. They have the offense to expose our defense. Maybe our D gets even better by that time, who knows.

We have proven that we can win in SEA and GB and match-up pretty well with them. Thankfully, there is no clear-cut dominant NFC team at this point. Minn will be there but they are not better than Dallas, if at all.
