Is it the scheme or the QB?

It is definitely both. Dak is a slow processor and he is inaccurate because he takes too long to think and he winds up rushing his throws. But the offense does not get his receivers open to where he can get them the ball. They are not using Cooks correctly. I can imagine after a few more games he is going to start complaining about it.

But it is also the running game. They should have been able to run the ball better tonight. They could have gotten more yards up the middle than trying to run outside. There was no room outside at all tonight. The 49ers LBs are just too quick to beat them out there. Run at them, even if you old get 4 or 5 yards.

Who is more to blame, the scheme or the QB?

I see alot of fans blame mccarthy and his wco for the offensive performance tonight but coming into this game, the offense was one of the best at sustaining drives and getting into the redzone. However, tonight was pathetic.

Are receivers really not open or is the QB too scared to attack the MOF?
Honestly I think it's both.

The scheme is certainly holding back everyone on offense.

Fat Mike said he was tired of Kellen trying to "light up the scoreboard" - well he doesn't have to worry about that anymore. The scoreboards are safe in Dallas.

This game it was both.
Dak: Didn't see the field well, throws off target, still holds the ball too long at times, still doesn't recognize when to just throw the ball away instead of taking the sack
MM: Clearly saw (I hope) that the 49er team speed would not allow those long end sweeps yet kept calling them, called plays with little imagination, still can't integrate all players fully into the offense, and didn't use the interior run-blocking strength of the line nearly enough.

I've said this many times, Dak needs to run and throw on the run to be effective. He throws more accurately on the run. He is not a pocket passer. He needs to play backyard football to be effective against faster better defenses. This will help the receivers get open and help the OL with the pass rush. If he isn't or can't do that anymore, he is not going to play well against better defenses.

He just doesn’t have the speed and athleticism like he used to to be able to do that. He was a decent running threat in his early career but after the leg injury it’s gone.

Its the QB. Poor accuracy, he doesn't throw guys open, he has to see them open. He gets rattled under pressure. Name one big game that he has won.

We were complaining about McCarthy's play calling and calling run's in certain situations. I think we see why he is forced to do that. 3 int's in a row. That's why he has had to call the games like he did. Its not what he wants to do, its Dak. Why do you think CD is so mad? CD, Dez, Amari......there is a common theme here and that's Dak. We didn't trade a 4th for a backup QB. I think the team knew what it was going to do when it made that trade. I think Dak is a june 1 cut, and we see Trey Lance out there next year. At this point, I am not sure that once Dak gets cut if he will get picked up by another team. I think his career is done. I would rather rock with a rookie or a scrub vs dak cause you know you won't win anything. He will just put you in the mid to late rounds of the draft.

Run & throw has been long gone for Dak. He can't run and plant his feet as well as he was young. Overall accuracy and arm strength were never a strong suit for him.

Both. Dak sucks. McCarthy sucks. Look how successful Miami and SF and other teams have been that use motion to clear out sections of the defense. Collingsworth ( I hate him) was actually brilliant in diagraming this on the fly. We dont do it. We lose. Purely is actually not a great qb. He has a brilliant offensive coordinator and makes Purdy look so much better because his receivers are always wide open to due to motion clearing out sections of the defense. Our receivers are never open and covered continuously. Never open. SF always open. Wide open!

I don't know man. I'm so tired of trying to figure out whose fault it is. I want a QB, scheme, coach, whatever where I don't have to worry about that as a fan. I've had to worry about it for almost 30 years.

We have neither. Wrong qb, wrong coach. Stupid is as stupid does. McCarthy sees Kyle working magic moving defenders and getting receivers open with motion. Do you think moron Mike would latch on to this. Collingsworth made it plain as McCarthy‘s fat belly how motion works for free up receivers. Mike is clueless.

Dak is an idiot. Not smart. Not quick. And terrible scheme. We need a Shanahan mind on offense.
Dak is a limited QB with limited talent. That is all. Not an idiot or anything like that. He is someone who has a lot of deficiencies as a QB that simply can't be overcome. There is no amount of talent you can surround him with to help him overcome those issues.

My point is. I'm tired of having the wrong qb, coach and I just for once have everything so I don't have to worry about it.

I agree with this. I have felt like this way before tonight too. I wanted to move on from him when the Stephen A's of the world were getting on TV yelling at Jerry to pay Dak his money. It's the same thing the Ravens are going to experience with Lamar. Certain people and you know who I'm talking about screaming about paying Lamar his money. For what? You should get money when you produce and win.

jerry caved when he shouldn't have and I know he's regretting every day.
