Is it the scheme or the QB?

I don't know man. I'm so tired of trying to figure out whose fault it is. I want a QB, scheme, coach, whatever where I don't have to worry about that as a fan. I've had to worry about it for almost 30 years.
Cmon man, there is no I in team, just ask the franchise paid leaders on this team.

Okay, I think it's time to move on. I've been a big proponent of Dak. This forum and media have just hammered this young man. He has endured a lot of hardship. I think he works tremendously hard at his craft and I truly think he is a good leader. There's just something missing there when it comes to big games.
I think we need to think about swinging Dak and CD in a package (ATL). We can't afford to resign CD. Draft is loaded at wideout. Maybe give Lance a shot.

Finally seeing the light. Great. But it has been obvious for as long as I have watched him. i dont care about his hardship. He is making 170 million for crap. Anyone else would have been fired for this kind of outcome. But these clowns are different with their guaranteed money. This should be outlawed because it creates disasters for teams and they cannot extricate themselves. It is just the worst kind of business and makes no sense. Goodall is the culprit.

I agree with this. I have felt like this way before tonight too. I wanted to move on from him when the Stephen A's of the world were getting on TV yelling at Jerry to pay Dak his money. It's the same thing the Ravens are going to experience with Lamar. Certain people and you know who I'm talking about screaming about paying Lamar his money. For what? You should get money when you produce and win.

jerry caved when he shouldn't have and I know he's regretting every day.
Guaranteed money is a pernicious disaster and should be eliminated from the NFL. It is completely counterintuitive and breeds mediocrity and sucks franchises dry. Why should any team be forced to keep someone that is not producing? What business model is this? Have you heard of dress for success? Well this is pay for mediocrity. A disaster and needs to change.

Remember that the owners chose to keep this commish around.

I agree but people made a concerted effort in the media, on TV, twitter, etc to put pressure on these owners to pay these guys or else. Jerry folded when he should have stood his ground.

Who is more to blame, the scheme or the QB?

I see alot of fans blame mccarthy and his wco for the offensive performance tonight but coming into this game, the offense was one of the best at sustaining drives and getting into the redzone. However, tonight was pathetic.

Are receivers really not open or is the QB too scared to attack the MOF?
It's the team. While the scheme/QB struggled to score the "OMG, Dan Quinn defense" gave up six touchdowns.

This team is a bunch of paper tigers, on both sides of the ball. They can eat up bad teams, but good teams punch them in the mouth and they have no answer.

dan and mike got outcoached big time tonight !
Dak started behind then and he got worse as game went along.
only 1 int was a bad throw. He over threw guys on his few deep throws.

Scheme or qb? I say little of both and throw in playcalling and lack of proper motivation and preparation.

I picked SF to win because purdy hasnt lost a game since he took over ! lol SF also seems to know how to beat dallas.

But dallas will still make playoffs, or they should.

I loved the way SF would throw to their guys, as their guys were either running fast toward the goal, or running fast across the field.

But the the Cowboys.... our guy is standing still to make a catch, or, our guy is running back toward the QB to catch the ball. Yet when our guy is running fast toward the goal line, the ball is thrown to land out of bounds.

yeah something needs to change, same with each guy getting more than the last guy in his category.
It benefits the stars, but hurt the lower echelon players. It also hurts the game.

The nfl is more about entertainment than football now days.

I doubt jerry is regrettin it. Jerry may still extend dak , just to prove he wasnt wrong about dak.
most owners are stupid , and cant pick a new qb that is good to save their life !
So they over pay the ones like dak who are mediocre.

Jerry ain't that stupid anymore. He got rid of Zeke, Romo and many other players that shouldn't have gotten another contract. If this were 10 years ago you may be right but not anymore.

At what point do some fans understand that this is a QB arm talent issue?

Dak struggles to hit Wide Receivers in stride. just look at the second pick against the 49ers tonight, it was a tipped ball on a post route that Dak slightly under threw. Inches make all the difference between a completion and a contested ball. That's why we only call routes that have the receivers standing still half the time lol

How many play callers will it take for people to understand there's only so much you can do to hide a QB?

Everyone blaming Dak refuses to show film to support their blame. Why is that?
Like I said in another thread, NBC/NFL in replays would not show the view of the field with all possible receivers, to see what Dak is missing, when Dak then has to scramble and gets sacked for taking too long too see people who are open.

I'd like to see every play with Dak with a view from above and behind Dak, not the crappy side view that the NFL and the networks insist on showing.

CowboysZone DIEHARD Fan
Scheme; QB; RB's; DE's; LB'S; DT's; Safeties; DB's; LT; RT; LG; RG; Receivers; Coaches; GM; and Owner

You don't see top tier teams getting beat by other top tier teams like this. The Dallas Cowboys have been frauds since the mid 90's. Fans have nothing for to look forward. The owner is right where he wants to be; number one in media, sales, and popularity.

By the way, stop saying Micah is great. He is Jerry Jones in pads.
