Proven fact? He’s never done it game after game.
Was sarcasm. :D

I'm a big Pollard fan...but these guys that want to ditch Zeke and go all Tony are deranged. Even reducing Zeke to 10 carries is stupid.

I think coaches will determine who is getting the ball. I do think early downs they will use Zeke and then come in with Pollard, as far as overall touches I really do not think the coaches staff sit there and look at that, they are looking for effectiveness.

Elliot has to start the games. He is the hammer against good running defenses. Maybe against bad running defenses like the bears game Pollard can be the man. But teams like the egirls you need that hammer to get those 3 yard runs that punish the tacklers.

I’ve seen Pollard start. Still electric.

Electric against bottom feeder run defenses like Detroit and Chicago? You or I might have been able to gain yards against those two.. and I'm 62. Where was he against the Bucs, Eagles and Washington? I know you people won't listen but you can't make a meal out of dessert with dawg poo as the main course. If Pollard can become a consistent producer against good teams I will change my tune.. but tapping out after 30 snaps pretty much confirms to me that he needs to stay in his change up role. I'm not nearly has hung up on who starts as some of you.. but I know I can't have a RB1 who is sub-par at blitz pickup and can only give me 30 snaps a game and maybe 15 touches before he's spent. If you play him more than that you lose the burst and explosion you covet so much and you just have a slithery scat back who gets hurt a lot. See Alvin Kamara and Christian McCaffery.

I dont think there are that many that want that steve and if they do they arent real knowledgeable. I do see a scenario where Pollard gets more carries than zeke. a scenario where Zeke gets more carries. I think it should depend on the opponent and riding the hot hand.

Honestly the coaching staff dont need to limit zeke anyway. He limits himself. I see him with his hand up plenty to come out but the man goes all out when hes blocking and plowing for yards. The wear and tear has taken its toll.

This should always be the strategy.. Let the matchups dictate the totes. There's going to be gams which favors one back over the other and games which favor neither plus or minus. When Zeke puts his hands up to come out it's typically after he just dragged 5 defenders for 4 yards because the line didn't block anybody. Yeah.. it takes a toll. What he does expends a lot more energy than what Pollard does.. but it also exacts a higher toll on the defense as well. The Packers are yet another bottom 5 run defense... so I expect the line to open gaping holes for both backs.. which should lead to some really fun plays in the running game. A fresh Zeke might have a hunnerd and a half on these guys..

I have not seen him raise his hand this season. Can you point me to a game where he did it alot?

Hes had to in the past because KM couldn't pre-design a sub plan to save himself. He made zeke play and throttle his own self. Stupid. I want both of them in an evolving game plan that keeps the defense guessing....not alerted to a subbing when (if) zeke raises the hand.

I do have to admit...even some of Zeke's worst.....er....critics....have eased up the foot from zeke's neck. But you know well and good there's been a lot of people calling for his head.

We're gonna need both...and a successful zeke is a successful Cowboys. Proven time and again.

The only time Zeke did it a lot was 2020.. you know the year he had a respiratory disease that killed like 6 million people and has been shown to have side effects that last years. I think the disease that shall not be named took away a lot of his strength and stamina that year. As did having warm dawg poo at QB some games.

I'm glad they were able talk him into sitting with the knee this year. Frankly if it's not 100% this week I'd like to see him sit again. Get him fully rested, recovered and revved up for the stretch run. But dude's a competitor and a warrior.. If he can go.. he's gonna go..

ok regardless of the reason he took himself out at critical times. Or KM took him out. there was a game this year when we had a short yardage play that we failed to get that he wasnt on the field and should have been in fact there has beren a few inatances like that. Ive never called for his head.I dont care if he leaves nor do I care if Pollard does but we will be shooting ourselves in the foot by losing both. Ronnie is right that i probably seen it more in 2020 but we still see. COVID is a pretty good excuse or reason however you view it.

I think the 2 of you and Jazz think that man can do no wrong but I get coming to his defense. One hes your favorite player and 2 he gets demonized alot in here and probably at times unfairly .Not as much as Dak but he gets it. Its all about the $$$ with both of them.

I "think the man an do no wrong"? Dude.....you know i spoke out against the holdout, big contract, and out if shape return. I was also critical of his seemingly ease of tackling.

Im on record over and over. I am also on record as big fan of pollard.

It seems being more in the middle confuses people.
