Let me interpret this if I may. He's saying, "I'm glad that I didn't call the wrong play on that last drive because i probably would have to hold someone accountable for allowing me to pull the trigger."

Too bad Bayless didn't wait a week to write that article. This would have fit right in.

A loss would have also led to questions about how the Cowboys could come up short against the lowly Vikings, who fell to 1-7.

“There are no 1-7 teams in this league,” Jones said. “That’s not the way it is with an NFL team. These guys play better than 1-7 when we play them.”

I'm sure Jerry only drinks the finest scotch very neat.

I would if I were him.

Some Balvenie Portwood, if you please...

21 years aged...

I showed up at a friend's AA meeting for support and they breathalized me. I failed, of course (I was not the driver) and the guy looked at me funny.

I said "What? Isn't that why I'm here?"

Well in fairness, teams do rise up when they play the Cowboys. But who knows if that's what Jerry even meant?

I dunno. It seems that way at times but I think it's just as likely that Dallas is playing down/up to their opponent.

Only a couple points separated Denver, Detroit, and KC from Dallas.

Only a couple points separated Giants and Vikings from Dallas.

5 games with opponents that span the very good to the very bad. All games decided by few points.
