Yall loved him last year wanted Zeke gone so 20 could be the guy!? What's changed?Only Jerry Jones would put a franchise tag on a backup RB.

The OL coach and OC?(hint)Yall loved him last year wanted Zeke gone so 20 could be the guy!? What's changed?
What's changed is if they actually have a good memory they can go back and look I'm just doing this off memory both first halves of 2021 and 2022 zika Elliott averaged 4.8 yards per carry was scoring more touchdowns blocking better and a better short yardage back and if you go back and look at pollard's last five games the last year and the first six games of this year power is not doing any better if not I'd say he might be a little worse he's not being utilized correctly...Yall loved him last year wanted Zeke gone so 20 could be the guy!? I can't even listen to his YT channel anymore...he now spends more time hawking his personal "brand" than he does talking football. Exit "journalism"; enter "entertainment."Fish throws crap against the wall constantly, sooner or later it will stick lol.
I agree. If I have 1 gripe about MM its this. He has disdain when it comes to trusting the rookies at the skill levels. He relies on too heavily, to a fault, on the vets. Luepke needs to be used more. Deuce Vaughn as well, in certain packages. We drafted DV, lets use him. He has to change his thinking. BTW, I think that explains his coaching style this year, with being overly safe in the calls. He must loosen the reigns if we are going to grow as a team. Its a bit funny, considering he was extremely aggressive in prior years, to a point where we were begging him to be more conservative at times. I think hes taking it 2 far. Gotta find a middle ground.I do agree that Mike should be using Luepke a hell of a lot more than he has. He showed against the Patriots that he's a good up the middle back. But that's my problem with the whole system. Yes Pollard is a good back. But he's not Zeke or Derrick Henry. He's not Demarco Murray. You can't run him like he's that. So, we either need to run a player like Luepke or Dowdle more, or we need to bring someone in who is capable of that. Pollard is best when he's used on the outside, sort of like what they want to do with Vaughn. Perhaps drafting a back in round two or three would've been wise. I think Charbonney (now in Seattle) or Tank Bigsby would have fit the mold better.
and what Jerry is telling them privately, to put 0ut. Fish has been Jerrys front man in the media for many years. It’s not really fish reporting…it’s fish reporting what Charles robinson is reporting
Here's the problem Tony Pollard is not just being utilized improperly he also has been giving too many snaps he is not a running back one he is not a true starter he may have earned more carries than the rest whether it be two or three but in my opinion go look back without doing the math to the last five games last year three in a regular season two in the playoffs and now the first six games of this year and you're gonna find out he has only two touchdowns he's averaging maybe 3.9 yards per carry maybe 55 yards per game I mean this is not new this wake up call was before he got injured twice last year he was tailing off because he was being used too much everyone says he earned the carries he should start over zeke and they were wrong do you guys realize the first half of both the last two seasons that Ezekiel Elliott was averaging 4.8 yards per carry before his injuries about mid season??
He had more touchdowns with a better blocker and yes post injury he tailed way off but if we're looking at what Tony Pollard is doing behind this same line versus Zeke,
zeke was supposed to be washed and I believe if you just do apples to apples of the first half of this year and the first halves of both 2021 and 2022 compare zeke to Pollard zeke still at least the same or better...
They both are not playing very well for the money they're earning ,.
. now we get to get Pollard now we have receipts people picking on zeke for how much money he made well Pollard ain't doing any better... he's not if anything he's not scoring touchdowns and at least EZ was getting us some touchdowns, short yardage, and better blocking...
I'm not saying we shouldn't have cut him but Pollard can I handle the load and still be who he is yes right now he's an average back he's doing pretty well yardage wise but he's not special anymore he's not explosive he's not doing it this is a coaching issue a execution along the offensive line issue, yes, I think we could do better with the players we have on this team if they made these adjustments and I hope that they see what we see that's all we have to hope is they recognize this and some chages are ahead post bye

Not sure about that, but I'm not going to argue. I always thought Pollard's a great #2 back for a powerful 1-2 punch. I never thought he was going to replace Zeke with consistent up-the-middle runs. It's what most of our fans wanted!
agree. I will make a prediction. IF MM uses DV and Luke at some point, many fans will be very happy with what we see. Deuce has been getting bashed daily and its really bad. The kid hasnt really had a chance. How can we judge him if he never plays real meaningful minutes? He didnt forget how to run the ball and run it well. I refuse to buy into that crap. Its the same fans that never wanted him 2 begin with.I agree with you, let's see what the rookies can do. Maybe if they have big games against the Rams, it might ease my concern about RB. But MM has to use them, and Jerry needs to make an honest assessment of that spot and maybe LB to see if an adjustment is needed there. The team is mostly there. I know Jerry thinks it's a good squad, and it is. I want Jerry to make sure it's a good squad. I want him to make sure he has the squad to put the team across the line.
He also said that offensive help is not out of the question.Jerry must be reading this forum on how pissed the fanbase is with his stupid no call comment yesterday lol.

no, i'm not making your point i'm saying. the cry for trades as if they need to happen is off base no big move needs to be made... wasting draft capital and paying those bigger salaries for a lot of these aging guys is not the key... i don't think it's about handling the load at all.. he's not the same player he's not explosive as legs are wearing down.. i'd rather see malik davis, rico dowdle and hunter get more of the dirty carries and more blocking etc get tp out in space more or when fresh he surprises some with big gash up the middle. the load is wearing him down, hes 15th in the league in yards and i bet worse in ypc and 2 tds..nope that not 10mil worth of production. You are literally making my point for the most part. I think Pollard can handle most of the load, but there are some tweaks that I think are needed at RB. It's not an insult to Jerry. If anything, it's a compliment. It means that I think this team is mostly ready to really compete. I am normally very passive about trades. This year is different because I smell a possible championship if Jerry just makes a couple tweaks. That's how good I think this roster is. It's not quite there, but it's very close .
yeah but will the coaching staff see it that way have they recognized the issues? let's hope soI thinks so too. I loved what I have seen so far with DV. I think Luepke looked good. I think they need to be used more. And I think maybe an adjustment or two is needed. If the Cowboys can do those two things, we might have a shot at truly competing for a Lombardi this year.

Or 20 just isn't that type of back.(hint)The OL coach and OC?(hint)

I agree, zeke was making too much, but now we're seeing how hard it is to replace 12 tds and 850 ydsWhat's changed is if they actually have a good memory they can go back and look I'm just doing this off memory both first halves of 2021 and 2022 zika Elliott averaged 4.8 yards per carry was scoring more touchdowns blocking better and a better short yardage back and if you go back and look at pollard's last five games the last year and the first six games of this year power is not doing any better if not I'd say he might be a little worse he's not being utilized correctly...
So yes I remember all those people saying if Pollard would just get the ball more near the goal line he would score more touchdowns the dude only has two touchdowns this year he had no touchdowns the last five games of last year but they said last year was just because zeke was getting the ball he shouldn't really grass isn't always greener on the other side is it now we did need to release seat he was making too much money but we did need to do is franchise tag Pollard..could have maybe offered him 6mil close to the average for most starter signings this offseason and went and got another back to join him and let TP20 be himself and carry it less and regain his explosiveness.. dude has 2 tds and averaging 3.9 ypc right now..
