Is Rod sick or concussed? That was something else with the play calling yesterday, and this is finally what I wanted to see from this defense. Rod went from Vanilla play calling to aggressive attack mode. He sent guys blitzing from all over the field. I hope they keep doing this and it wasn’t a one game occurance.

He always does this. Will show some aggressive play from time to time but then revert to his more passive defense. As Abe said, it's easy to be aggressive with the QB stinks and you have a lead. But in a tight game, he'll go conservative and watch teams move the ball up and down the field on us hoping for a mistake or hold them to a FG.

Even 90 year old coaches like Rod feel the pressure to keep their jobs. He has as full a deck now as he ever will, with the exception of Chido. Hopefully the aggressiveness continues. We can't just sit back and expect to stop some of the team we have coming up.

You can attack against a green rookie when you've got a lead.

Attack a guy like Rodgers and he'll burn you. All about context

True but Rodgers will burn you if you don’t blitz, look at the last game what happened. You can’t sit back 15 yards back from the reciever and keep rushing 3 or 4. I honestly thing for now on if we can stay healthy that he will be more aggressive. It is tough to blitz when your secondary is deccimated with injuries.

I disagree with this.....so you don't blitz Rodgers but you just sit back and let him pick you apart?

I'd honestly rather blitz him and let him beat us. I'd much rather be aggressive.

I really hope yesterday was a sign of things to come and he didn't just do it because he was facing a rookie.

But even then......its more than he usually does against inexperienced qb's......

I would rather take my chances blitzing also.

I might disagree here about Rodgers. If you bust him early and often, he starts getting skittish and will make mistakes. But that means you are knocking him down and sacking him early.

I wouldn't count on seeing that often. Marinelli did what you are supposed to do against rookie QB's and it was successful. But you can't do that against the likes of Aaron Rodgers...he will make you pay for it.

It was the freakin' 40whiners. But still a very nice and dominant performance. Hopefully they all loaded up on self-confidence individually and as a unit.

This is a good point. He does go full meltdown when he gets hit a few times early. It helps that wearing that awful G on your helmet makes you immune to holding calls.
