It's easy to go after the qb, when you have a decent lead. You know the opponents tends to give up on the running game when they are down by 14-21 pts. Pas pass pass means you can pin your ears back and go at the qb full speed

He didn't have a freak RB breaking off 70 plus yard screen passes.
He also didn't have any pocket awareness whatsoever as our defenders teed off on that scrub.

Oh, and Dak's YPA was still better EVEN IF you removed the Elliott TD from the equation.

If you say so. The NFL counted it as one of 13 wins last season. He adjusted and took us apart in the playoff game so you have to give him credit, but let's not pretend Marinelli had nothing to do with that win in Green Bay.
C'mon bro...you know certain wins count more than others and it's not an absolutist issue...let's not try and pretend that's not the case. If you truly believe that then you must not believe in rivalry games and games labeled "SB previews" and that sort of thing. A game for the division title against the Eagles is tantamount to a game against a basement dweller? smh...

I’m saying that Marinelli’s adjustments helped win that game in GB last year. If you want to read more or less than that into it then that’s on you, bro.

I'll read more...Rodgers was off that game and you know it...that didn't have jack to do with any Rod adjustments...the playoff game different story.

Yeah it's easy to be bold against C.J. Beathard. Who, incidentally, threw for one more yard than Rayne Prescott yesterday.
Isn’t that usually what happens when a team is down by 30 points? They throw the ball to catch up. That’s why stats can be misleading. I guess the ultimate stat is the scoreboard.

He always does this. Will show some aggressive play from time to time but then revert to his more passive defense. As Abe said, it's easy to be aggressive with the QB stinks and you have a lead. But in a tight game, he'll go conservative and watch teams move the ball up and down the field on us hoping for a mistake or hold them to a FG.
Marinelli seems to want to have numbers to make his schemes work.

Nor so much as a single or two defensive studs does he seem to produce.

But he seems to have a good feel for calling the defense at times like Sunday.

Got to hand it to him.

Best defensive game in 3+ years.

Is Rod sick or concussed? That was something else with the play calling yesterday, and this is finally what I wanted to see from this defense. Rod went from Vanilla play calling to aggressive attack mode. He sent guys blitzing from all over the field. I hope they keep doing this and it wasn’t a one game occurance.
We would have killed Denver and Simein if hid did this week 2.

I think it's pretty obvious Rod got the memo I think we've seen the last of the rush 3 .

I'll be sure to come to you to see which games count in the future and which don't. So when Rod has a bad day, we can just say he was off that game?

If we haven't seen the last of it, it's a pretty good sign that Rod just wasn't paying attention. Yes, I'm also hoping he was. ;)

I am just hoping Marinelli is feeling the heat and is a bit desperate at this point.

But history tells me that he has games like this where he blitzes and everyone thinks he finally gets it and then he goes back to his chicken poop conservative defenses.

KC, Philly and possibly even Atlanta will carve the hell out of his defense if he's going to just go back to playing passive again.

We couldn't because we had injuries to the secondary, and Hitchens was out also. Wish we would have played them later in the season, as Denver isn't that good but in that game kicked our butts.

Well I'm sure everybody from management down to the coaching staff to the players knows rods defensive schemes cost us the last two games

So if he does Switchback he's not going to be long for this world or at least Jerry's world:thumbup:
