Has he been sipping on the Kool-Aid and become a primadonna....I hope not, but it seems like the fame has gone to his head.

I don't think he is a prima donna yet, but I do wonder if he got too much too soon and he gets frustrated when he doesn't get sacks or make big plays. I hope I am wrong but I hope he has not exchanged his love of football for the love of adoration.

Early in the season he looked like the favorite for defensive player of the year. His play has really dropped off the second half of the season. He hasn’t done much the last few games. He’s had some nicks, has been sick a couple of times and opponents seem to have figured him out. It does appear he’s been reading a few too many of his press clippings. He needs to get refocused and wipe off some of that anointing oil that’s been poured all over him if he’s going to get back to being the disruptive force he has been.

I think he’s actually done incredibly well so far. He’s young, incredibly talented, and I know the media said he had “character issues” before he was drafted. But, that hasn’t been true at all. Has he been perfect? No, none of us are. But, it’s apparent if you watch the games and listen to his comments that he is giving everything he’s got and doing his best. He cares about the game and most importantly, he’s a true Cowboy. Please stop complaining about him - I wouldn’t trade him for any other defensive player in the league. Seriously, this is nonsense. Parsons is the player you want to complain about!?? I just don’t understand posters here.

I think he is a little spoiled hearing all the good things about him, but I also bet he is all beat the hell up trying to face the fat boys.

He used to be sneaky going after the QB, but now they know what he is all about he needs to refocus, and that would be on DC.

You may not understand.. bury your head in the sand. I know what I see and I hope I'm wrong.

He actually sounds like a pretty thoughtful young man. The narrative on him coming out of Penn State was either way overblown or he did a quick 180 and quickly became a really good person.

His comments have been exploited a little bit to gin up ratings lately, but that's just the media ****** at work. Quinn does lean on him more than the other players on defense. My biggest concern is that he will be beaten down like David Carr was in Houston.

lol, I don't think that poster was complaining, he was just making an observation about the player.

Is there anyone he respects or listens to that is telling him he hasn't yet scratched the surface of what he ca do or reminding him in someway he can do better? Parcels used to do this a lot, hopefully Dan Q is doing this to some degree too to try and keep him humble and hungry. How did you balance this when you coached a stud player?

I think he doing well but I hope this country club culture we have don't sink in to him like I think it sunk in to Dak and other Cowboy players.

Sound observation.
Closing end on just his 2nd season in the league, methinks Parsons feels he on the cusp of being the dominant NFL Defensive Star this current decade ...following the accompishments of J.J. Watt and Aaron Donald during the 2010s decade.
I can roll with it if the results are an NFL Title (or two) while he leads the Cowboys.

I had about 20 all state players and they were all different...it's easy to get lost in the noise...I think this kid is equipped to handle it...I hope he is.

He's also been primarily playing DE, not being moved around as much.

He is not doing drugs, raping housekeepers, drinking and driving or beating his wife as far as we know, so he is doing awesome. Nothing wrong with being confident or bragging a bit when in sports.

Losing 5 pounds entering this season doesn’t appear to have helped him any. He was already under sized at DE. Taking on those double teams has taken their toll on him.

Just hearing snippets about Early Signing Day and what's going down - the hysteria and instabilty of it all.
