Alex, I've seen him use that single clip of McFadden numerous times, probably 5 or 6 times over the past couple of weeks, and each time he is strongly implying that McFadden simply isn't that fast. I seriously doubt we see that clip again after the 4.27.

"Strongly implying" doesn't mean he's calling him slow.

But I guess it is the mother bear instinct.

Go wake the neighbors, he "strongly implied" that Darren McFadden isn't the fastest human alive and is so fast he could spin the earth on its axis and reverse time.

Why would they even have to be better?

How about just a nice complement to what we have in Marion Barber?

You would think we didn't have a Pro Bowl runningback on this team the way people are wailing on and on about how we have to have a "home run threat".

Sure, it would be nice. But hardly necessary or even worth the price.

For the sake of argument let's say that a RB we can get with our pick would be 90% of how good McF is. Would that extra 10% be worth giving up two extra 1st rd picks and pay an extra 25 million signing bonus? I don't think so.

Mother bear? Seems you're the one whose maternal instincts got aroused by the criticism in this thread. Heaven forbid someone think that Mayock isn't the be all end all of draft wisdom. Your baby boy was simply wrong on this particular topic.

Mayock prolly busts more film than any other current "draft guru" - and is less likely to be duped by "workout warriors" than most of his mockin' brethren.

Me? I STILL miss Joel Buchsbaum...

Well then you respect just about anyone with an opinion if that is your way of viewing things.

he dosent fall in love with the media darlings, he just goes by what he sees.
Mcfadden is not the best running back in this class he might not even be 2nd best.

Brandon Flowers, who he ranked in his top 10 players overall (LOL!), ran a 4.58.
